Just my opinion, but no games should ever be shipped incomplete. Waiting on licensee approval, fine, but don't ship......

Quoted from smassa:Who has shipped a game recently where there was never an update? Games these days are a lot easier to update then the late 90's where you had to replace ROM chips. I'd rather they shipped the games when playable and then continue to work on the code then just have them shipped "complete" code wise like they did back in the late 90's. End up with some pretty shallow games doing it that way.
I agree. My "incomplete" comment was regarding shipping games with no SD cards.
Quoted from smassa:I think this may be the 1st time it happened and I'm pretty sure most people got their SD cards soon after.
Once again, I agree. Just saying if it's not ready, why ship it not ready to play?
Quoted from smassa:Maybe just to keep the lines moving and not have a backlog of games sitting in the loading dock? Stern isn't like the other guys out there building a hand full of games a day. I'm sure it's easier for them to just ship the game then ship the SD card out a few days later.
Fair enough.
Quoted from smassa:I know what you were getting at. Bottom line is none of the manufactures are perfect, they all have their flaws.
Yep. First world problems to say the least.....
I too experienced the coin drop issue on Star Wars. Happened frequently actually on the Pro I played on location. No idea what version, but assumed it was the latest.
Quoted from Whysnow:My best guess is that it happens post winning a free game and then attempting to put in more credits?
Possibly. I didn't pay too close attention, but it happened several times.
