Quoted from kermit24:Got it - I just looked at your Sternless pinside collection. Regardless, I don't think its fair for anyone to completely bash any game based on two low res photos and never playing it. Am I super happy with what I have seen so far? No, but I am withholding judgement.
Oh it's definitely fair. If the marketing department only releases low res pics and a third party video instead of a gameplay video and proper pics, they get what they deserve.
Quoted from frolic:It seems like a lot of the negative reactions to a lot of games is just the piecemeal way they're announced.
Show us playfield art, well, what else is there to talk about?
Have only blurry screen captures as the first impressions of your game... well, who's fault is that?
Cell phone photo of a game is all that is out there?
Cell phone video of someone bricking shots on an unbalanced game?
These errors are made time and time again. If any of the above happen you are GUARANTEED to get the reaction you are getting here. We KNOW this, yet all companies seem to think this is still the 1980s and they can roll out information in their own sweet time.
Totally agree.
Stern can control the reaction if they properly market their games. GB looked awesome so pics of the playfield were adequate but for games like GOT and SW, gameplay videos with player reaction would have been better initial reveals.
