I have not been following the thread, i was just looking at the video of gameplay... how does averyone feel about the death star cracking open like an egg? To me that is incredibly lame and the best they can do? Looks like a gimmick from the 70's. I am a SW fan, but having a hard time looking past it and the lack of coolness for the price.

Have they said how many LE units to be produced?

No pricing on Stern site. Not sure if covered here but can anyone proved a link or PM me? Are there options on the LE or is it just loaded with everything? Dealers are not responding on pricing.

Anyone know what the price of the Tron LE was when released? They seem to be in the $10k range when rarely are available.

It is in the release notes for the code:

Is this ordered from Stern? Available?

Just got my LE! My first NIB game. It looks way better in person. I think it is going to be a blast. I have a few thoughts & questions...
1- The action button in the lockdown doesnt seem to do anything. It is lit up but no action. It says it starts a single game and select options, but nothing. Ideas?
2- The speakers seem to be poor quality, surprising for an LE. Has anyone upgraded to fidelity or other? How does that effect resale value?
3- Anyone have information on the headphone connection? Where to purchase?
4- I dont think the LE really warrants the $1500 premium or whatever it was, but as a Star Wars fan, i had to go for the le, I wish it had more substance than the plaque & custom armor.

Any adjustments on the right hole kickback? It shoots right between the flippers almost every time. Really annoying. Table is level and pitched correctly.

Quoted from jdpilot:

My friend's had the same issue. Gap issue on the switch. When the lock down bar is on, the switch is being closed (activated). Open up the space on the switch and it'll work.

Yep, worked!

I have only played a couple dozen games and just noticed all the divots already! This is my first NIB game, is that to be expected? I have newer IM and see some divots there too but really surprised at this. The playfield is beautiful and hate to see it. Do the divots just blend together as time goes on? I have other old games like DESW and dont see any divots but maybe the whole field is one big divot? I did read some rants about the stern clearcoats. Is this a poor quality issue or an inexperience with a perfectly new field?

#7057 6 years ago

Kinda what i thought. I will have to play enough to dimple everywhere.

While i dont consider myself a total expert on this, i will say i think the quality of the SWLE is outstanding. The slide brackets are far improved. The stand brackets are also outstanding, i was surprised to see rubber bumpers installed on the stands! I dont belive the slide stands were included on the pro models? The table is also balanced and so easy to lift (not that others are hard to lift but cool to see it well designed). I did have an issue with the center select button and emailed Stern, they replied immediately! There has been so much Stern negativity that is unwarranted. These games just get better all the time.

Quoted from Rob_G:

What issue? Mine sticks sometimes.
Rob

It was "stuck" closed, adjusted leaves and all good now

#7091 6 years ago

Anyone notice how loud the fan is in the backbox? Mine kicks on even when the game is idle.

I am also getting the right flipper error. Is that legit or something with the code?

#7099 6 years ago

I have replaced fans in network switches, i guess mfg just assume these things always go in noisy environments and nobody cares. This is my first newer pin and this is certainly a surprise this is normal. It seems to kick on and kick off. Shouldnt the fan be varible speed? Even my pool pump is variable speed!

Please post any photos of fan replacement options.

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

Torque the scoop as far left as possible.
Take off the right ramp, take off the plastic above the scoop. You can access it with the hyperloop still in place. Set to 40.

I cannot find the setting level on the menu. I see a left plunger setting, which i assume is the loop lock, but cannot find any setting for right plunger. What menu? I torqued to the left, then right, still get about 50% right down the center. The other 50% hits the bottom left flipper. I am thinking the design is not to hit dead center.

What did you mean by removing the plastic? The scoop is accessable from 2 nuts below.

Quoted from TheLaw:

Some new balls, some wax, & some novus you'll be good to go.

I put some vellum on the kickout area where the games tend to get worn quickly. Did it on SW and IM does not interfer with kickout or play. Invisable and works great. I put a playfeild protector on a DESW and although it looks nice and shiney, i dont like the play over the mat. It is way too bouncy, like having a rubber playfield. Sticking with wax and keep it clean.

Anyoneknow how to adjust the hyperloop, death star dropout? (After hyperloop and mission select). The ball goes right between the flippers every single time. There is no way to time it, bump it, or anything, its a death shot. Can the fork be tilted?

#7363 6 years ago
Quoted from beelzeboob:

Don't tilt the fork...you'll f**k it up. That shouldn't be happening. Have you checked your level side to side? And is your game pitched at 6.5 degrees? This is the most finicky game ever for making sure it's completely level and right at 6.5 degrees of pitch. I had a lot of SDTM from the inner loop and ramp before I changed the pitch and tweaked the level. Check it, yo.

I had it perfect when i first set it up, but good idea! I will check it again for side to side, makes sence, its a long drop. Where should the ball hit? Left or right flipper?

#7442 6 years ago

When i shoot the death star ramp and the mission option holds the ball and then after mission select, the ball releases down the forks and right down between the flippers. It is an impossible save and nothing to do with timing or a nudge will help...SOL. I checked and the cabinet and its dead level. I did not check the playfield, wonder if that might be off even though cabinet level. Any suggestions on an adjustment? I am sure its not designed that way.

#7447 6 years ago

fosaisu i am leveling the glass/lockdown bar. I will try leveling the playfield. Is there any tilt adjustment ont the forks? Thanks!

I just developed an issue on my LE I am hoping someone has some insight or can give direction.
I just installed a set of Flipper Fidelity speakers (which sound AMAZING by the way!), never had this issue in the past and don't know how it could possibly effect this but I am sure stranger things have happened.

I am getting balls stuck behind the ramp fork. It normally lowers itself when a ball ends up on the backside. I believe there is an optical sensor back there somewhere. It does not happen every time though, just occasionally. When when it gets stuck and the ball search activates, the ramp does not lower itself, you would certainly think it would lower the ramp when searching for a stuck ball. The only way I have found to get the ball unstuck is to drop the glass.

I noticed there is a plunger post at the top of the circle, above the fork ramp but I don't think I have ever seen the post up or working. Is the post supposed to be up when the fork is up to prevent balls from pounding the back side of the fork ramp.

I installed the latest 1.00 code and thought that might be the answer but it is not, working the same.

TIA for any help.
