If Jody is calling the shots maybe it's more to do with the marketing side of things? You know by simply not showing all the game and spoiling the wizards modes on its first stream 
Or it could be the issue that maybe the content/assists in those modes are not yet approved?

Game looked fast and furious, and I'm sure its fun. But dang it the artwork is SO disappointing. Just finished playing my STLE and compared to that, this looks like a turd (but definitely doesn't play like one going by that video!)
Well all I can say is ....to all of the people who were bashing Stern and this game, you can eat your crow now because this game is Bad Ass and it's going to sell like Hotcakes!! Eat up boys....haaaa haaa!!

I actually like the playfield art on SW better. Although, of course, the STLE package is light years ahead of this machine. Definitely not a turd, though.
A couple of observations from watching the live stream:
- The overlay of tie fighters and star destroyer looks really out of place during trench run and hoth battle videos.
- The Empire march theme was playing during destroy the death star which is really wrong.
- More scoring inflation, maybe too much? Tie fighter hurry up starting at 100 million? Although it does count down fast.
- The multipliers didn't make sense. Once it was at 40x it seemed to stay there a long time.
- Stacking modes seems confusing, like watching a movie that plays out of sequence.
- Tie fighter animations are a bit rigid looking.
So yeah, I'm sure the code is still not 100% complete. I wonder if it's even 1.0?

I think the artwork looks just fine. It's not AS, MET, or GB but It definitely doesn't look like a turd by any means.

Thank you Dead Flip the wait was killing me. Kinda disappointed that it was just the pro though. I really wanted to see the balls whip around the playfield and see if it's worth the extra $. The choices before you plunge are going to be fun and allow the journey to endlessly change, letting you attack the game the way you need to at the time.

I didn't get to see all of the stream, but I'm quite pleased with what I did see. The light show in particular looks outstanding. I could not really hear the audio package too well. It does look like the central concept driving the game-play centers around the star wars construct of "hyperspace" which translates in the world of pinball to flow and speed of play ---> and so, with that in mind, the LE backglass now makes more sense to me. I plan on watching the entire stream tomorrow on YouTube. OVERALL, very encouraging.

One more comment about this: Once you diss another game and follow it with "Just finished playing my _____ and compared to that...", I stop listening because you just sound like you're defending your game (for whatever reason).
So let me try another spin on this:
Just finished playing my GOT LE, and the artwork on the SW playfield blows GOT's artwork away. Both games are fast and furious, but man am I glad the artwork on SW isn't a turd.

Seems like it was a lot of chaos. I just couldn't tell what objectives were, but I did miss beginning of stream. Was there a quick tutorial?

Possible. If you're close to tie fighter multiball, then collect the +5 tie fighter skill shot, sounds legit to me.
Thanks for the video link, looks great. I notice that the led's under the inserts can turn off/on instantly like usual, but that they can also slowly fade on/off kind of like the old incandescent bulbs used to. Is that a new thing, or have all previous led Sterns done this? Just curious because I never noticed that before.

All Spike games have been capable of this.

SW looks fast and furious. I really liked that you can backhand either ramp. Also loved that screaming inner loop. Rules looked to be along the lines of GOT, but maybe deeper? Multiball city here we come!

man, so many things to do. super fast, super flow, you can tell right there it's a SR game.
i like what i saw. light show looks great, sounds is good but i think it's missing some call out a la c3po/r2d2 and the other characters, i guess more will be added on future code update (i hope).
not much toys on the PF but man after what i saw i don't really care.
artwork is not that bad, this is what i was expecting from a license like that.
can't wait to see the hyper ramp going in the death star and if it's really worth it but pro won't be a bad choice.
this game is going to be amazing, i'm in for sure.

I was thinking the same thing. Dwight was like a kid in a candy store with his excitement explaining the rules and the variations thereon.
He's awful proud of his work on SW and looks like rightly so.
The LCD integration, lighting, sounds and call outs are phenomenal. Its one thing to watch it on a stream and another to get full blown hands on immersion.
Def brutal fast, can't wait to see the hyperdrive loop in action.
Stern is going to sell a shitload of this epic theme. The pro will be a HOME RUN on location and is great value for $5400.
My expectations were exceeded and glad i stayed in on the LE.
