I emailed CoinTaker yesterday but I'm still waiting for them to get back to me on pricing and availability....
Quoted from kermit24:That sucks! Any USA based shows coming up that it will be at? Assuming it is too late for Southern Fried in Atlanta this weekend?
Pintastic?
Quoted from bigdaddy07:That would be nice to have some custom callouts from the real actors. Anthony Daniels would be the logical pic if there could be just one. Maybe Admiral Ackbar (whoever did his voice) would be a good choice?
He died shortly after TFA opened.
Emtiness PF, less toys, what is all about?
Imagine: You can (Dwight, do it for me ) fight against Darth Vader himself. You can throw him 6 steelballs on the helmet.
That is worth enough! Childest Dreams come true...
Take my money!
Quoted from KozMckPinball:If outside your residing state no, otherwise yes.
My understanding is that if you pick up in person in a different state from the one you reside then you pay that distributor's state sales tax.
If you order from a different state and have it shipped to your state you owe the sales tax to your own state, but obviously people often don't pay that because they don't report it.
Still early days, but once the dust settles and despite various disappointments, I suspect the immersion is going to be awesome and more people are going to want the game than they do now!
Quoted from Lermods:Sorry if this was answered already, but are there real actor callouts in the game?
I was really hoping they would bring back DESW C3PO. That voice always makes me happy. Him and J-Bone have to be my 2 favourite bad pinball sound-a-likes.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Still early days, but once the dust settles and despite various disappointments, I suspect the immersion is going to be awesome and more people are going to want the game than they do now!
I already feel the immersion!!!
It's gonna be awesome. Modes, MB's, characters and 400 HD Video movie clips on perhaps one of the coolest such video of all time in the movies.
Let the balls roll, ready to see it tonight.

Understanding and experience are 2 different things.
Quoted from GhostThruster:Ah with shipping you are probably right. It is a short enough drive for me to pick it up so I was able to save there.
I'm like most other people here who are big Star Wars nerds but when you compare the products side by side around this price range, you would be hard pressed to say they are comparable - in my opinion of course. I really like the theme of DI and I know that not everyone shares that sentiment.
It's great for everybody that there are choices. Going through the justification process happens every time a pin is released.
Star Wars will just be a phenomenal immersive theme. The LCD video of 400 movie clips, 16 modes, 9 multiballs and 4 player types.
It's Ritchie and Dwight.
At some point, you end up playing the pinball machine itself when it gets delivered.
Quoted from Britt-in-VA:I really would have liked to see what JJP could have done with this license.
11k
Here's a different take on this. I bought TF NIB, is it a great game....no. However, my son and I had countless hours playing that together due to theme alone. Fast forward to SW and it will be the same thing all over again and myself personally will be taken back to being a kid with this one. My son and I already are joined at the hip every night and this'll be another special memory he will have with dad.
Memories for him + my memories of SW=
PRICELESS
Quoted from trunchbull:We'll see how the flow and code is but until then,
They will get my $$$, no need to ask. LOL
Quoted from kermit24:That sucks! Any USA based shows coming up that it will be at? Assuming it is too late for Southern Fried in Atlanta this weekend?
I think NWPAS is the best shot, since SR is speaking on Saturday. Worst case, we should get some good info from him.
I'm trying to keep an open mind but SW looks pretty lame to me. That IGN video was laughable. Nothing looks engaging in that video.
The stupid "hit the Tie Fighters with the button" clip was TERRIBLE. The graphics are from 1990 and whacking a button like a whack-a-mole game is beyond stupid.

It can't help, but play better than it looks.
Quoted from Soulrider911:Backglass Variations on LE side by side
LE with Pro backglass looks best.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Will this end up being Stern's best seller - ever?
Yep, which is why the release doesn't matter to them.
Quoted from Soulrider911:Backglass Variations on LE side by side
The Pro translite is definitely the best IMO, but that game definitely seems way too stripped down compared with the others. I wish Levi had a chance to play both.
I feel like if you buy a Pro your buddy with a Prem or LE is going to be calling you telling you how awesome the Death Star and hyper drive ramp is...and how much they add to gameplay. It's almost like Stern is "forcing" us to get the Prem or LE on this one.
Quoted from konjurer:The stupid "hit the Tie Fighters with the button" clip was TERRIBLE. The graphics are from 1990 and whacking a button like a whack-a-mole game is beyond stupid.
Did Luke not push a button on a flight stick to take out Tie Fighters?
Not defending the whack-a-mole mode, I'd much rather use a left or right flipper a la Indiana Jones mine card video mode.

There better be a trench run video mode that you steer with the flippers and fire with the center button.
Quoted from Darscot:There better be a trench run video mode that you steer with the flippers and fire with the center button.
Quoted from Wolfanoz:With that micro screen, it's begging for distance to target with the main screen being the attack run.
That can't possible screw this up right? I want to see the target computer on the little screen and have that calm moment of use the force Luke.
I want quality HD realistic video and sound but I won't hold my breath on that one.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Will this end up being Stern's best seller - ever?
I doubt it. Pinball has grown in the past 2-3 years, but the pricing will still keep things from going crazy. It will be very successful though. No reason to think it won't be one of the best sellers.
Quoted from Darscot:There better be a trench run video mode that you steer with the flippers and fire with the center button.
Or they could have it steer/shoot simultaneously with the flipper buttons, similar to the vid mode / werewolf shoot in BSD. Although having to jump to the center button would definitely make a mode like that more challenging. Offer the option in the settings.

It has to be there, it's begging for it. I don't doubt Steve and Dwight would want that in there for the hardcore, especially. Please be in there. *sigh* It's most likely a bonus video mode or finale of the Death Star mode, you either get the final Death Star explosion or "negative, it didn't go in... it impacted on the surface" and a retry at it somehow.

wow...has more toys on it.......
Quoted from Guinnesstime:Normally it's "some" pros for locations, but then LE production is first. Then Pros. Then Premiums. Then whatever they want.
No.
Plus you're ignoring that they're building a whole bunch of Pros and ship them to Europe up to a month before the first Pros inside the US are manufactured and start shipping.
And if you ask why that is: Because they want to launch it worldwide at about the same time (marketing!) and a ship is kinda slow.
Maybe this has already been mentioned, but does anyone wonder if the LE/Premium ramp location may get in the way of flipper pinball visibility?
Quoted from Stones:wow...has more toys on it.......
LOL...just as many interactive toys as the pro: zero! More static "toys" than pro and LE combined!
Quoted from jonesjb:Maybe this has already been mentioned, but does anyone wonder if the LE/Premium ramp location may get in the way of flipper pinball visibility?
Since you have 2 eyes and look from 2 different perspectives trough the wire ramps, and you're not looking directly from above like the photos it should be less irritating then in the pictures.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:Since you have 2 eyes and look from 2 different perspectives trough the wire ramps, and you're not looking directly from above like the photos it should be less irritating then in the pictures.
It will be no worse than RBION or WOZ, therefore it will NOT be a problem.
Quoted from DS_Nadine:No.

No offense to those across the pond, but I wasn't responding to a guy from Europe. I know you get them first.

Can't be worse than the cannon in the way of the lanes in AC / DC as much as I love the game.
Quoted from crussomd:Just ordered my premium. My son is over the moon for this!
You guys are lucky that have sons that are into pinball. I could take and axe to my games and my 14 year old would barely take his eyes off his Xbox game to notice.
I make a point of exposing my kids to classic stuff like trains, comics and pinball because it's so easy to get lost in all the digital stuff.
Quoted from bigdaddy07:You guys are lucky that have sons that are into pinball. I could take and axe to my games and my 14 year old would barely take his eyes off his Xbox game to notice.
I know how you feel ...my son turned down a weekend with me at the North West Pinball & Arcade Show in Tacoma this weekend
Has no one mentioned those character selection screens? Seems like you can select your character before plunging, with each having various bonuses. Each has 2 selectable missions, but some skillshot bonuses are unique to each character
Luke: Strong with the force -- Jedi Training, +5 Tiefighters
Leia: Strong in missions --- Light Mystery, +3 Bonus Multiplier
R2: Good with multipliers -- +3 Bonus Multiplier, +3 Shot Multiplier Bonus
Han: Outwit Bounty Hunters --- +5 Tiefighters, Light Escape from Boba Fett
Sounds like there will be plenty of variety & options with each gameplay. Makes me want to escape from Boba Fett right now! Really looking forward to seeing how the code, lightshow & video integration all comes together. You know it's going to play fast & be fun.
You can say it looks sparse, but if that money is put into the lightshow & coding, I'm fine with that. Will all that open space, this will be the most modded game in pin history, for better or worse.
Quoted from bigdaddy07:You guys are lucky that have sons that are into pinball. I could take and axe to my games and my 14 year old would barely take his eyes off his Xbox game to notice.
Just unplug the router for a while. Show him what real gaming and skill is.
Images on the big LCD remind me of the style commonly seen on modern Slot machines (the halos, lighting, etc). I wonder if they are reusing content that way to help speed development along. Someone go do some research
Quoted from iceman44:Modes, MB's, characters and 400 HD Video movie clips
How many times are you going to say that? Is Stern paying you a per diem on this?
