Just noticed the comment on Sterns FB page saying that the game will feature "select speech and footage" from the films. That makes it sound like they don't have the rights to use some of the actors likeness?

I have a puddle of drool on my desk at work..... Love how it looks. Like the "Use the force" right outlane ball save, looks like good use of the mini LCD, plenty of color changing LEDs on the PF....
Video is actually a lot more impressive on mute while playing the Star Wars theme in my head. F*** that music was bad. If they were releasing a Gin Blossoms or Counting Crows pin, maybe that generic 'mom rock' riff would work, but maybe try something with a bit more energy or a future theme for Star Wars.

"Select"... as in parts from the movies...

They couldn't get James Earl Jones. So they went back to the original dub with David Prowse.
Actually, after watching it again, I don't think the FORCE targets activate a magnet -- it's an illusion because the camera is from the top of the playfield -- so it hits, activates FORCE, but then regular old gravity brings it back down (which is really up in the video). Camera trick. A little disappointing.
Definitely looks like magnets by the force targets.
EDIT: Agree with camera trickery after watching it the second time. View from top of pf looking down and believe it's just good ole gravity pulling the ball back down.
No real backglass on the LE, but the matrix states:
Limited Edition includes all 3 original themed translites featuring hand-drawn art
A+ for not skimping on the 16 color changing LED's on the pro. Definitely no force magnets per the matrix.

That is a huge miss for the LE.
RZ has a real backglass.
Hyperdrive ramp does sound awesome though.
Do like the look of the LE.
Just read that the game will feature 16 modes, 1 wizard mode and 9 multiball modes! Yes! Also, 400 clips from the original trilogy.
Bummer about no real backglass on LE. Ridiculous.
15K by Christmas and I am sure payments are already flowing...... I still don't get it, and I still don't like the artwork and layout, but that is just me...lol Glad some of you are getting your grails.......

And selectable characters for the missions
Quoted from Ballsofsteel:and the pinside hater crowd is silenced in light of the first video..
Quoted from rvdv:You guys funny
It went from a bash fest to
A love fest
Not really...just trying to come around because I love SW and waited a long time for this pin to be released. And don't want to feed into or be a part of negativity on this site anymore.

Agree...just said LE with Pro or Prem translite above would be awesome. If you can get all three with an LE, that would be key. Still not big on the LE translite compared to the other two.
Quoted from pninja005:Who picked the music in that video? OMG.
Yeah not good, the slow mo effect is terrible as well.
One thing though: that hyperdrive right in front/over of the flippers
How anoying will that get ?
Any other games like that, input please.

Where is the video located.

It would be hard to swap in the Prem/Pro translite if the LE was a backglass. But yea, I'll miss having a real backglass.
"interactive Magnetic Hyperdrive Ball Accelerator speeds multiple balls furiously around a circuit above the playfield"
Will be interesting to see how this works. I applaud the use of the word "furiously".
What's the deal with the Imperial Side rails on the LE? Looks like that is supposed to be the Anti Hero model.
I love the Pro cabinet art but want the Premium features...Would love if they let you 'downgrade' the cabinet.
That being said, I am not seeing anything that makes me want to go for the LE over the Premium, though.

I keep thinking the same thing, the crossover ramp on GB bothers me and this ramp blocks more of the playfield.
Quoted from Yoko2una:Game certainly looks fun. Hell it's a SR title... but no Force magnets...
The video shows magnets near the force drop targets.
Looking better, but the destroying of the Death Star looked pretty un-exciting to me... looks like an egg cracking with an alien larva inside ?
"Super Speed Loop whips the ball into a frenzy for some of the highest ball speeds in all of pinball"
Jeez Ritchie, call down.
Quoted from rvdv:One thing though: that hyperdrive right in front/over of the flippers

I don't think it'll be much of an issue. I never noticed the cross-habitrail on Congo that went right over the lower playfield window, and I never notice it on Funhouse or WOZ when the ball is in the middle of the playfield. Your eye kind of looks past it.
Quoted from kermit24:The video shows magnets near the force drop targets.
No it doesn't - the camera is upside down, so it's just gravity pulling it back down (which looks like it's arcing up). The targets are on the left side of the playfield, but in the video that looks magnetic, they're on the right.
Quoted from kermit24:The video shows magnets near the force drop targets.
No it doesn't. The video is filmed top down, that's just gravity.
Great looking game, shitty video.
Quoted from Talon2000:What's the deal with the Imperial Side rails on the LE? Looks like that is supposed to be the Anti Hero model.
It's supposed to mimic the floor in the Falcon...
Quoted from Robotronx:I keep thinking the same thing, the crossover ramp on GB bothers me and this ramp blocks more of the playfield.
Just not sure how it will effect the eye/ ball coordination
Quoted from redman822:I love the Pro cabinet art but want the Premium features...Would love if they let you 'downgrade' the cabinet.
This is where I'm at, but I do like the head art on the premium better. Just give me a pro cabinet with premium head art and features. Perfect.
Quoted from beelzeboob:Oh...and no shaker, right? There goes another $150 to upgrade that.
i got my last one for 75$ delivered from my distributor.
