I don't know what you see here....but if you like Ritchies games, and Star Wars, this looks like it will be a lot of fun. I will buy a Prem!

Also, it *almost* looks like there might be long inserts under the lightsabers Ben and Darth are holding ...
Quoted from Frax:Man you gotta stay outta Vegas. It's not having a good effect.
I had a great time in Vegas. The shows are great and it is great people watching. We had some pretty good meals even though they were expensive. My cheap ass even gambled some. And, there were no kids or the grand kid the bother us so I got laid quite a few times I played Aerosmith at New York New York and I loved it. That SW pin just looks like a total turd to beat all turds.
Quoted from PinMonk:» YouTube video
The youtube comments from hardcore Star Wars subscribers is even more revealing. Anyone who thinks the SW fans are going to be snapping this title up to round out their memorabilia collections might be in for a shock. Pinball just doesn't resonate with mainstream without proper marketing and after shoehorning a pinball machine quasi announcement onto the SW youtube channel the channel comments speak for themselves.
FireShot Screen Capture #351 - 'Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik, the Coolest Stuff at Lucasfilm, and a New Star Wars Game Reveale
Quoted from jar155:Not mine, but I had to share...
They are REALLY similar. It's Spider-Man/Star Trek again.
Looks similar to Ritchie's first unreleased Avatar design to me.
Quoted from jar155:It's worth pointing out that the TIE Fighter toy isn't in those playfield pics. The video mentions and shows it. There may be more to show in regards to the playfield.
I think it actually is. It just looks very thin if that's what I'm seeing. To the left of the mini LCD.
Quoted from Hazoff:Is anyone going to be anything other than ecstatic to play a mode with the empire theme going and actual clips of Darth Vader fighting Obi 1 or Luke, sometimes pinside is really stupid
SWep1 had awesome music and lightsaber battle clips during the multiballs... and it sucked hardcore. This one looks like another flow modefest, which is great for some, but I'm kinda tired of that formula. Will play on location but no need to own. Still has good potential to be the best of the (now 5) SW games, but doubt it plays better than ACDC or Metallica. We shall see...
Quoted from pinsanity:The youtube comments from hardcore Star Wars subscribers is even more revealing. Anyone who thinks the SW fans are going to be snapping this title up to round out their memorabilia collections might be in for a shock.
The hosts set the tone for that by making pinball seem "uncool" because of their co-worker that has "8 pinballs, a couch, and a cat." Seemed like a bad idea from a show that's about selling Star Wars merchandise.
Quoted from jar155:It's worth pointing out that the TIE Fighter toy isn't in those playfield pics. The video mentions and shows it. There may be more to show in regards to the playfield.
It's there. It's only on the Prem/LE Playfield with the Millennium Falcon. The angle makes it hard to pick out. It's just to the right of the ramp by the death star
I look forward to playing this game on location, but I doubt it's something I would ever own, it just looks a little too stale for me as far as shots go, and the artwork is pretty boring to me.
Edit: also, if the screen animations on Aerosmith are any indication, those won't be anything to write home about either.
Quoted from Yoko2una:I think it actually is. It just looks very thin if that's what I'm seeing. To the left of the mini LCD.
Yeah the Tie-Fighter is there its just hard to see, shows just how bad the resolution on these photos are.
Sure there looks to be a 180 degree ramp under that Death Star, looks like it drops or raises or something?
Quoted from aeonblack:Edit: also, if the screen animations on Aerosmith are any indication, those won't be anything to write home about either.
You mean the ones people constantly post that Stern "nailed?"
Quoted from J85M:Yeah the Tie-Fighter is there its just hard to see, shows just how bad the resolution on these photos are.

It looks like a fork-like mini-ramp pops up through two slots in the playfield to divert the ball up to the Death Star instead of around the u-turn shot.
Quoted from PinMonk:It's there. It's only on the Prem/LE Playfield with the Millennium Falcon. The angle makes it hard to pick out. It's just to the right of the ramp by the death star
I'm annoyed that we have so little to look at. Pinball marketing sucks.
Not my first rodeo so I'm not going to go on that roller coaster of hate/love. I'll be patient and wait for the actual photos and matrix.
Oh my god this game sucks shit = Typical Pinside Reaction
Relax guys, this game will be fun to play.
I am a fan of Richie and it might play well in the end. But that looks like a steaming pile of s. I thought Segas star wars was cheesey. But this is just awfull
Quoted from TheLaw:You mean the ones people constantly post that Stern "nailed?"
Yeah, that absolutely baffles me. I thought they were passable at best. They do say in that video that it uses film clips from the original trilogy, so I guess if they do proper video integration it might be nice?
Playfield/art is "ok", wasn't expecting a Dirty Donny masterpiece. I'll wait for code to mature like I did with Metallica, and pick up a Premium. Stern doesn't take a ton of risks and Di$ney/LFL likes it as vanilla as possible. About what I expected so no disappointment here, but all that really matters is how it plays.
Quoted from bobbyconover:It looks like a fork-like mini-ramp pops up through two slots in the playfield to divert the ball up to the Death Star instead of around the u-turn shot.
Good eyes, that's actually pretty cool, nice way of keeping the flow and speed going when either shot is available, clearly a lot of the BOM has gone into the Death Star mech and Hyperspace ramp and not left much for anything else.
Wonder if that dome inside the Death Star spins at all, or if its just one BIG flasher with GOT level of eye scorching brightness
Quoted from PinMonk:The hosts set the tone for that by making pinball seem "uncool" because of their co-worker that has "8 pinballs, a couch, and a cat." Seemed like a bad idea from a show that's about selling Star Wars merchandise.
Stern needs to get on top of that if they ever want to expand sales and resonate with the mainstream consumer rather than just a small niche segment of the overall gaming market.
No doubt at some stage in the future we'll get a detailed review from dead flip, but the reality is in terms of market penetration -
SW official channel > Dead flip.
Really just another lost opportunity with a license that had guaranteed widespread appeal.
I just pre Ordered a LE from betson a few hours ago before seeing this post. Still not worried about it.
Quoted from KozMckPinball:Cannot figure out the shot below the tie fighter. Does not look like a kickout hole...
Looks like the Tie Fighter is on some sort of arm or spring, possibly a solenoid? Guessing its going to react with some minimal movement to shots on it?
Quoted from J85M:Looks like the Tie Fighter is on some sort of arm or spring, possibly a solenoid? Guessing its going to react with some minimal movement to shots on it?
That's my guess as well, similar to The Enterprise maybe on ST?
Quoted from scylla:Didn't know there's a bunch of people out there who think it's 'ay-tee ay-tee'. Nope. Just nope.
That's how it's pronounced in "Star Wars: Battlefront" during the in-game commentary. Caught me by surprise the first time I heard it.
this is the 30th anniversary of a major American icon. it should wow us. the hobbit wowed me, for example. that's a beauty. let me give you an example of a true attempt to produce a tribute/anniversary edition. pics included.

I bet the balls drop out of the Death Star onto those.
Quoted from kermit24:Question - Why does the Falcon LE model have Imperial Armor!?!?!?!?!
That was one of the first things I noticed about the LE, thought cool hope they light up and instantly thought but why are they on the good guy/falcon LE
Honestly I don't think it matters someone can and should come up with some better "lite" side armour for all these models.
Lightsabers - one side blue one side red
X wing with laser blast (similar to STLE)
Tie Fighter with laser blasts (again similar to STLE)

A $5000-$8000 coin-op game will always be niche and never have widespread appeal. In the video game world right now, people are complaining that Street Fighter 2 for Switch is too expensive @ $40. Lol.
Quoted from KozMckPinball:That's my guess as well, similar to The Enterprise maybe on ST?
The Enterprise on the Prem and STLE is on the right hand wireform its just on a metal stick doesn't interact at in anyway, I think the Tie Fighter here might be on a spring or solenoid tied to the stand up target in front of it, so hit the target and the Tie shakes about a little is my best guess.
EDIT: Then again looking closer it looks like its on a small arm, connected to a spring with an arm/solenoid arm going into the playfield so maybe it can crash into the playfield or raise? then again maybe it just wobbles
"The game features speech and film footage from the original trilogy"
That right there is a huge plus for this game and makes it appealing, even with the lackluster artwork. Without it forget it.

With a licence like this Panzer I don't think Disney would even give Stern the choice of a cheap option without speech and audio assets from the movies. But your totally right its a massive plus for the game to have all the movie assets.

The Enterprise on ST wobbles, not sure why you say it doesn't interact. Probably similar movement for the Tie Fighter is my guess too.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:I was joking months ago about a giant bash Death Star toy but wow, I didn't think they wouldn't actually do it, lol.
Why would it be a joke? It's one of the main focal points of New Hope and RotJ.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:"The game features speech and film footage from the original trilogy"

Its too bad the pf doesnt incorporate the same....looks like its all based on A New Hope.
Quoted from Stones:Its too bad the pf doesnt incorporate the same....looks like its all based on A New Hope.
Nope. There are four locations, two of them are not from A New Hope: Endor and Hoth.
Lol. What a mess.
Another stern pin that makes my decision to abandon them as long as they keep abandoning code easy.
Quoted from KozMckPinball:The Enterprise on ST wobbles, not sure why you say it doesn't interact. Probably similar movement for the Tie Fighter is my guess too.
Might be because I have the Hallmark one on mine, wired into my game and it doesn't move at all, literally never played a single game with the factory Enterprise installed.
Looking at the Tie Fighter though it looks like it has the potential to lower or raise on an arm/solenoid, here's hoping.
