Clearly a reaction to slow Munsters sales, but IMO a misread. B&W looks incredible...reason it's not selling is due to people not liking the code. But hey, options are good...now Prem buyers have a choice.

Quoted from NPO:

The day the "tiered system" began was one of the worst days for pinball. I love B/W - one game, one version - you either like it or you don't.

*cough cough Addams Gold cough cough*

Quoted from jarozi:

Possible it's BK that isn't selling well enough to keep the line running at full capacity. That's a shame if so, wouldn't bode well for future non-movie/music/TV pins at Stern.

It's pretty unlikely that anything without the "OMGLERB I LOVE THAT" nostalgic attachment factor will sell well at launch. It's a multi-year gamble. Original theme games must legitimately be great - they can't rely on theme - and then, they must be out in the world for a bit for people to discover and fall in love with them...people like to say "but the B/W original games were popular!" ....yes, but years later after being experienced by the masses and gaining a reputation.

Color LE this soon is a slap in the face.
Should have been announced at launch.

Most Premiums and LEs have the same exact playfield art...are LE buyers normally pissed because of this?

Quoted from jp1985:

TAFG was released after the original did very well on location. From what I've seen Munsters is not great on location. I don't think TAFG cost a premium over the original either.

Yeah I know - I was just F’in around. Stern used to do it that way too, to celebrate a great game, like Spider-Man Black....but that pissed off Spider-Man Red buyers. Well, not sure why they made Dale Jr. lol ...I don’t think Elvis Gold was a quick seller either...LOTR SE didn’t fly off the shelves. Avatar LE coming out after the regular version pissed people off.

Oh well, the truth is - ever since Stern locked in the tier system & hyped the LE’s up front, they went from bust to boom...and everyone will be pissed off about something. Whatever one thinks of it, it works as a marketing and business tool. If you don’t like the tiers, just get the version you like best & pretend the others don’t exist.

Quoted from luvthatapex2:

If I wanted a Batman pinball I can tell you for sure it wouldn't be Catwoman edition.
Batman is the star (and Robin to some extent) and Catwoman is as important as any of the other villains for sure but as an edition, nope.
I don't get it, but if you like it more power to you. Seems like an odd choice. I bet they sell 10.

It's kinda like the Avengers Hulk Edition....I never quite understood that...if I'm buyin an Avengers pin, I want to see THE AVENGERS...not just one of them.

Quoted from flynnibus:

and since the catwoman model is limited to 100 pieces

Only the first 100 come with a signed card....they didn't say the Catwoman variation would be limited at all. It's a Premium.

Quoted from JY64:

To most people if you told them you spent $7500 Pre/Standard they would think that was a joke over $7500 :impressed:damb right it's a joke

It wasn't that long ago I wrote a check for a NIB AC/DC Premium for $5800 and people were like "Stern prices are INSANE!!!" lol
