If you buy it from a distributor that is willing to unbox it, which some do, then yes. But you'll have to go there.

Stern is trying to make a statement that they are no longer the McDonalds of pinball.

It made me want to puke.

Glad I don't see it that way. Another 40 year old theme that's run it's course.

Up until just a few short years ago, pinball was struggling to survive.

The revival in the 90s lasted about 10 years thankful partially to a resurgence of games on route and several manufacturers making machines. One of the biggest booms in pinball ever during the 70s lasted about the same.

It would be highly optimistic to think the boom of the last few years will outlast any of those.

Eventually there's no where to put them all too.

Historically, pinball has done it's best during the worst economic times.

The 30s was the biggest decade ever for pinball right in the middle of the great depression. The 70s was it's second biggest decade and then pinball started to die out just as the economy took off. The early 90s were kind of flat economically, and we saw another resurgence in pinball.

The latest boom in pinball started shortly after the worst economic crisis since the great depression, so who really knows what effect a future economic downturn will have on it.

Price increases had nothing to do with my interest in EMs, or classic solid state Ballys for that matter. Besides great game play, I also have to look at them when they are off, which I like to do.

At no time have I ever considered wanting to fully decorate my house with what looks like movie or concert posters from the 70s and 80s. I prefer original art with style and class and that's what suits me best

Just think , If they were to launch Star Wars and Aerosmith at the same time, they could have a mega old farts convention reunion of sorts.

But you would have to send in an application, a video and a down payment on both to attend.
