Absolutely hold their feet to the fire at any price (even $3k) for the quality issues, but the price increases shouldn't surprise anyone.
Spooky is the only competition in the pro price range, but their volume is currently so low that it's not an option for many.
Heighway is the only competition in the premium price range, but again, volume of games shipping is an issue for many.
Customers who want a new game frankly don't have a lot of options; until the market really can't bear the prices, they will keep rising. Alternatively, Spooky / Heighway / Homepin start producing enough games in volume to become real competitors at those lower prices.
