Playing a pro on route and trying to figure out if I want to get a pro but not sure how the game is supposed to play.

Does the spinner stop a lot of what seem like good orbit shots? I would say 4 out of 10 shots get stopped by the spinner.

A lot of times the elevator kicks the ball down the middle. (usually get a ball save)

On a slow plunge that falls down the right orbit, does it make it to the right flipper or does it hit the top of the sling?

The pops seem to stop a lot of shots to the left orbit but I wouldn't call them quality shots that the spinner is stopping.

Do you guys have you outposts up or down?

Would really like to see more champion scores for the modes or multi-balls like on GB.

Thanks.

Bump. Can anyone answer these? Thanks

Quoted from cooked71:

Can't comment definitively on the Elevator Kickout as I've got an Le, but the few pros I've played this has never happened.
My right spinner has never obstructed the orbit shot. That shot is super smooth.
The left orbit entrance through the pops has to be accurate or it will get caught in the pops. There's no margin for error like a regular orbit shot which could bounce off the ball guide but still make it through. You either nail it or you don't But if it is an accurate shot, it's smooth.
Can't comment on the soft plunge as I've never seen the need to do it. I guess it would avoid the pops. Might try it later on.

Soft plunge is the result of missing the lock or the right switch.

You can activate one or the other with a good plunge.

Sounds like the AS I've been playing just isn't setup good.

Anyone have the ball get hung up under the elevator on the cliffy protector? On a pro model . Like it's magnatized or something. But most likely not . Set up just below 6.5 degrees.. just sits there on the scoop hole protector, needing a bump .
JP

Yes, a bunch of times.

Quoted from Chambahz:

Yeah, I only now realize that if you were playing in competition, Player 1 has a disadvantage.
Also, when playing at home, I should continue to let my wife go first.
: )

It doesn't make a difference who goes first. The scenario could happen to any player.

There is no risk involved- you still get your toy box mb with correct number of balls.

Quoted from jgentry:

There is some risk involved though. If you go for more then a 4 ball lock you risk giving your opponent a 4 or 5 ball multi ball instead of a 3 ball.

True. I wasn't thinking about tournament play where that could matter. I was thinking casual playing with friends.

How do you finish a song? Sometimes it seems like I only hit few shots yet when the time is up the song is completed. Sometimes I see the lit shots for super modes and sometimes I don't. Does the super mode have anything to do with finishing the song?

I've started EMB about 6 times so far but it never seems to last more than 10 seconds. Made it to 3rd floor award once. What happens after that?

I just can't seem to break through 250k. Are there pf multipliers?

The route game seems to have a lot of cheap drains.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Pretty sure 2x scoring is the same on all. It's double scoring which is only on the Pre/LE that you start by lighting all the targets on the mini-pf then hitting the upper orbit.

What's the difference between 2x and double?

What do you guys think of a pro for 4k? It's been on route since purchased but I bet half the games are mine. It's pretty basic, no mods or shaker, but it does have pin blades just not the good ones. It needs a cleaning and some new rubber but everything else is seems good. The magnet in front of the toy box is marked but I can't tell if it just needs a cleaning or something else.

Quoted from pinnyheadhead:

$4k sounds like a great price. Buy it and play the crap out of it!

I forgot to mention is has the door lock security bar which is probably drilled into the front door. I assume it's drilled in but I'll have to take another look. Is there any other method?

Just pickup this game(pro) last night!

What are some of the nicer mods to do? I also need a complete rubber kit. Is black the best color?

I will attempt to review this thread but if anyone wants to link to their cool mods and color combos - I love pics.

Thanks.

When there is a match should the knocker engage? Mine does not.

#4115 6 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

There is no knocker like in the old machines, it's a screech that comes through your speakers now. It may be turned off in the settings. I turn mine off because I can't stand how it sounds.

Sounds like a knocker when the score is reached just not when there is a match. What menu setting is it?
Thanks

Maybe Steven Tyler's ego is big enough he wants his voice in the game.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

#4149 6 years ago
Quoted from RDReynolds:

I just wish they would fix when you have a ball locked already and thus the toy box is going to close and Jacky gets the ball in his face. There is a very long delay, to the point where if you aren't aware of it you'd think the game had frozen up or something. Sometimes Jacky will say "You aren't going to hit a guy in the face with a steel ball, would you?"
Then you wait.
And wait.
And wait.
And wait.
That really needs to be fixed and I have to believe it would be pretty quick to code that.

And add a 5 sec ball save!

How does one adjust the shooter rod so it's better centered on the ball?

I noticed that on a soft plunge as the ball goes up the shooter lane it glances off the inside rail which sends it glancing off the outside wall so when it reaches the end where the ramp is, it collides with the inside wall of the lane and usually just rattles around. That makes it really difficult and frustrating to hit the skill shot (or either lane switch).

I played another AS on location and a soft plunge was super smooth.

I had to video mine in super slo-mo to see what was happening. If I set the ball 2 inches in front of the rod and push it with my finger, it goes straight up the lane so I am thinking I need to adjustment the rod.

Help! Thanks.

Is there a headphone jack in this pinball? I didn't see one where there is one in GB?

Also, where do you run the wires out of the pinball to the subwoofer?
