Stern is showing the next game in January.. you can guess what it is but I'll give u a hint it's not sw next.
Quoted from wtatumjr:Stern deleted the headphone jack on the Spike 2 system. You can add a sub but you'll need to wire it yourself which you can do fairly easy using the speaker connections under the playfield. But if you want a really professional job wait for Pinnovator's
Spike 2 system adapter which I imagine they are working on now (deletion of the earphone jack requires a work around).
I have the Pinnovators system on WOZ and GB. It comes with through the door volume control, external speaker cut off, earphone volume control, earphone jack in the service door. Also you get a sub connection with wiring that has RCA connections on the end. The mounting plate replaces the dummy plate where a bill validator would go. It looks great - like a factory install and is removable. Unavailable for Spike 2 as of now but I'll wait.
I'll post pic's of the Spike 1 door plate in a few.
Hey guys,
Ok so hooking up a sub you can still do with my spike sub kits $35... the sub kit taps directly off the board at the same location on spike 1 and the new spike 2 board. So batman 66, Aerosmith buyers don't have to wait. We have them in stock.
Headphone kits for the new spike 2 board we currently don't have ready. They will be ready this summer. Our current spike hp kit will cover from wwe to ghostbusters. Bm66,Aerosmith, Star Wars will be the new spike 2 board.
One other thing. The plates for our pp2 Mac and spike kits are a perfect match because they are real factory plates that we custom punch. If anyone is ever missing a blank we have them on our site.
Thanks,
Lorenzo
Quoted from Arcade:Thanks so much for clearing that up Lorenzo. I am the one that just emailed you this morning about this.
We have your headphone and sub jacks on all of our Stern games. First thing we do to them.
Is it true what I read above from someone that Stern removed the headphone jack off the main board that they have on all the prior Spike releases?
If so, some of their decisions boggle my brain.
The only way it would change on gb being made now is if the new spike 2 board is compatible and they can eliminate the spike one completely on current production...
Quoted from MacLean:Has anyone upgraded their AS speakers with the Flipper Fidelity Spike 2 speaker system? Do I need to get the Spike 2 sub kit if I hook up a sub, or can I simply run it off the base speaker inside the cabinet, like I did on my MET? Thanx.
You will notice substantially less performance in the sub by hand wiring instead of going in through the rca connection. Hand wiring it will work but it's not as good. Most people have to turn their subs down after installing my adapter over hand wiring them.
Quoted from DylanFan71:Is there a way to share a sub between Aerosmith and Metallica LE?
If you have the most common sub people use, the Polk psw10 it has a left and right rca input. You can plug one game into the left and one game into the right with our sub kits. It's not ideal cause your grounding the two machines together but you can do it, plenty of people do. Our pinsmx box has built in isolation transformers that protect each game from the other ones up to four games to one sub. It also has four potentiometers to allow adjusting how strong each game plays on that sub. Our pinsmx box will also allow you to mute games with out headphone kits if two or more are on one sub.
Here's a link to the pinsmx... you can also find sub adapters on the page tabs on the left of the site.
Thanks
