Quoted from Pinballer22:

Picking up one that needs some cabinet love.

Probably has really bad planking correct?

Seems like Stern had some issues with both CSI and 24 cabinet art planking. Makes finding a nice one even better. I have not heard of any replacement decal sets available.

Definitely. I have a CSI in nice condition overall, but there is some planking on the cabinet. I had a BDK too, from the same year, in excellent condition but with mild planking. Something about the wood and direct printing combo during that era.

Looking to buy a 24 in really nice condition. Preferably HUO/CQ. Hit me up. Thanks.

Friend of mine has one of these and the fluorescent in the back box went out.

Anyone here replaced theirs yet and have a link handy for what worked?

I’ve had issues in the past with just buying bulbs with the same measurements and having them not quite fit. So figured I would ask.

Recommended and they snagged the interactive one!

Was there ever a topper or color DMD for this?

#57 2 years ago

No color dmd yet but this is the topper I have and it’s nice:

I’m in the club!…. Sorta. I am babysitting one but have intention to own in the semi-near future.

I’m a huge fan of the show which definitely helps as this pin has its share of warts. I love Chloe and feel her deadpan callouts are actually quite fitting and I find them enjoyable and nostalgic. I recently made it to the “Dammit” mode which was very entertaining. The game is very multiball heavy but I enjoy the depth of the various multiball rules. I love the drops. The toys are chincey yet amusing. I upgraded all the dead flashers to LEDs which really livens up the experience. Like many, I wish the rules were more fleshed out and that there was more fanfare coded into the wizard modes but I mostly just consider myself fortunate that this game was made in the first place.

One question: Did anyone ever figure out if it is possible to re-light Escape? It seems to only be lit at the start of the game and once collected is never relit.

Also, someone get to work on the colorDMD!

Apologies if this is common knowledge but my small addition to the rule documentation is that the spinner seems to only function as a scoring device. It seems to have no function in rules progression.

It starts at 1000 per spin and builds the value to as high as 50K per spin. At that value I was able to generate around 1.5 million with a strong shot to the spinner, though that might be an unlikely achievement in the real world, particularly as it seems to reset with each ball.

I think a simple application would be to have the spinner re-light Escape at say, 100 spins or so. If Escape is already lit perhaps it could increase the value (2x, 3x, etc). It would make some logical sense as the spinner animates Jack running.

With the low production/popularity of this title there are not a lot of mod’s available?
Mostly just the basics.

ColorDMD
Shaker motor
Mirror blades

I’ve seen the acrylic topper but I’m not a fan of those.

Anything worthwhile that I’m missing?

Hey all! I am also in the club!

I bought 24 to mod it out with Pinball Browser and fix the atrocious sound design.

Mine has a replacement helicopter and jet toy. Any chance it belonged to a Pinsider?

I always think they'd have heaps less drama if they got rid of Jack. he can't do anything right, they have to go and save him all the time.

I always think of Chloe in an intimate moment, using that voice...." i'm going to...."

Picked up a 24 this week. Seeing what mods anyone has added to theirs. I have color dmd, shaker motor, speaker light w/acrylics, pinball pro speaker kit, interactive backbox light, and topper. Soon adding trough lights, pop bumper backboard light, head light, and led throughout. Interested in adding a jet and helicopter toy. What did anyone use for those?

Nice collection!

What are you thinking for the sound?

anyone know what the shaker motor does and when it goes off. Is is only tied to jackpots like my CSI or it is more active like my Walking Dead

I would say it’s underused. It is mostly noticeable during suitcase multiball locks and starts. I think the shaker code was very “roughed in” like the 2 Wizard modes and it was not worth it to the programmers to go back and add polish and choreography.

Having a small issue with the suitcase. When I load up the three balls for multi ball only the first ball ejects down the wire form. It holds the other 2 balls. It apprears that the plunger with the pointed end isn’t going all the way back out. If a ball is then shot into the suitcase with the remaining two balls then it will eject all three balls. Any suggestions? The small nylon washer is cracked and I can fine no replacements. Wondering if a new coil sleeve would help.

Can anyone get me some high resolution photos of all sides of the cabinet and the head. I am going to have new decals made due to my cabinet planking on the left side, but i cannot find and high res photos online.

Has anyone found decals for this? Seems to be the main thing that keeps getting brought up. Would even consider alternative art.

I am working on some alternate decals since I can’t find any direct replacements
