I’m new here and I have a Gottlieb Airport EM 2 player machine. I can’t find anywhere a photo or diagram of the alignment of the 0-9 stepper or the Ball stepper. Currently the machine plays 2 player 1 to 5 balls but will not trigger game over.

In addition the Ones counter unit, ones point relay (N relay), and the 1st player scoring relay (J Relay) And are engaged and get incredibility hot.

Please help.

Mike

Pinhead do you know or have pictures of the Ball Counter Stepper alignment? Some on else has worked on this machine previously and I am not confident that the Ball count stepper is correct.

Update on this issue: the problems were: 1) The player one One’s score reel solenoid burned and open. 2) Misadjusted switches in most of the score reels. 3) Score reels gummy and needed rebuilt.

I am waiting for the solenoid to arrive, however I pulled out some way old school moves and connected a 100watt lightbulb in place of the Solenoid and the unit plays great. The system resets and after final alignment of the player unit plays. The exception is the last ball and game over not operating correctly because of the missing solenoid / reel switch night t reassessmbled yet.

Thank you Darcy good catch. Will check that out in the morning.

In the meantime the ones solenoid has been replaced and reel unit rebuilt and work great. The ones, tens, hundreds, thousands relays and reels operate perfect for player 1 and player 2.

However next issue is that the Ball counter stays on player one. The player solenoid on the player unit kicks to advance but the reset solenoid also kicks and the net result is that it will not advance. If I manually plunge the solenoid by hand it advances fine.

Additionally it seems that the last ball relay, and game over relay do not trigger at all.
