New pick up today. Its in pretty good shape an actually plays. This may be only the second machine ive ever bought that actually plays.
Some small hacks for freeplay and a bypass of the big bell as the coil is fried and the plunger is stuck but other han that it looks pretty good.

I found an old rats nest in the back of the cab that is now gone.

Its also autographed so must be pretty special!!!!

Here are some pics

Way to go Jeff and for $100.00 that rocks!

Once you get it 100% working it will be nice to hear how it really plays.

You seem to have a knack for finding these GTB em's at $100 or under. Hmnn, maybe I should pay you to search my area for me???????

Congrats on your latest aquisition!

I had a Fun Land in my collection and regret selling it. This single player Gottlieb wedgehead is a great player. The open playfield makes for nice ball flow and the special feature is rewarding. Pop bumpers get good action and the spin feature is sensational!

#9 10 years ago

It would go great with a Kewpie Doll woodrail too!

Thanks. I think so. The inserts are even level

I cant wait to knock the spinner. That looks like a great shot

"Buck Williams" It sounds like the game was signed by porn stars.

Nah. That would be Buck Naked.

Nice game. Glass looks sweet!
Should clean up really nice.

Buck Williams played for the Portland Trailblazers back in the glory days 1989-1996

#15 10 years ago

That backglass is sure 60's retro artwork. Never even noticed the girl leaning over with a short dress at the ticket booth before.

Not again! Send more cats.
Not bad for a $100

I do!

I collect all sorts of stuff and have had a couple old metal lunch boxes and pressed steel trucks that were signed by the original owners. I've thought about how fun it might be to track them down. Depending on how nostalgic they are it might be fun to reunite them with their old possession or at least let them know where it ended up.

when i was a kid, my mom wrote my name on everything i owned, so i'm not surprised a lot of stuff like that is "personalized"... i know i would think it was cool if i ever came across something i used to have 40 years ago...

wonder if i could track down all the people who engraved their names and high scores onto my jacks open?

Years ago, a friend acquired a "Flip A Card" at an auction. It needed work, and he didn't know much about fixing games, so every Friday night my brother and I would go to his house, drink beer, eat Chinese food, and work on the "Flip A Card". A neighbor of my friend stopped over one night and hung out with us. After a while, he suddenly said something like "I think I have a pinball machine". My brother and I looked at each other, then asked him, "what do you mean, you think you have a pinball machine?" He explained that his dad owned a house across the street from theirs that they rented out, and that they had a lot of old stuff stored in the basement. He thought there might be an old pinball machine down there, and he said that it had the same shaped head as the "Flip A Card" (a wedgie!). OK, so we told him to find out and report back the following Friday night. Well, this went on for weeks and weeks; each week he would say "ah, I forgot to ask my dad about the machine", or something to that effect. It kind of became a running joke after a while; when Ralph would show up at my friends house, we would just kind of look him in the eye and he would just shake his head or something meaning he had forgotten once again. Needless to say, the mystery as to what game it could be was killing my brother and me!
Well, eventually one day, this guy Ralph called my brother. It was some kind of holiday; maybe President's Day or something because my brother was off from work, and so was Ralph, but I was working. He told my brother he finally got down to the basement of their other house, and lo and behold a wedgehead lurked in the darkness. Turns out, it was a Gottlieb "Fun Land". They pulled it out and brought it over to my friend's house and set it up alongside the "Flip A Card". It was in surprisingly good condition, but needed work to get it playing properly. Fueled by more beer and Chinese food, we spent several more Friday nights working on the "Fun Land", and it came out very nice. I had never played one before then, and I thought it was a really good player. We enjoyed it for quite some time before Ralph took it back to his house. I don't know if he still has it because I lost touch with him and my old friend as well. I remember offering to buy it from him once, but he declined. So anyway, that's my "Fun Land" story.

My brother actually ended up with the "Flip A Card" and he still owns it. My friend who previously owned it really wanted a "Card Trix" and he eventually got one, so he traded the "FAC" to my brother for a "Swing Along" of all things!
