I've got a 77 Williams Stellar Wars, when powered on it goes into attract mood fine. As soon as I add a quarter all lights and score boards freeze and it doesn't show any credits have been added and it wont start a game. once I cycle the power switch everything is normal again until I add a quarter again. anyone have any ideas??

thanks for the link, guess ive got some soldering ahead of me.

I like the feel of putting quarters in so all my games are quarter ran.....
I did try free play mode, about half way though the first ball the solenoid fuse blew

Got it to run finally with quarters. But as soon as the lower left bumper is activated the transistor fails and the bumper stays down and the transistor that runs it gets very hot 400 degrees (I checked it). then once the ball drains and the table resets the solenoid fuse blows. ill check into it more tomorrow and run some tests

in my schematic its a tip-120, and it goes bad (shorts across all 3 pins of the tip120) after the bumper is fired. I've replaced it twice now.
