I know I have seen this recently on a thread somewhere, and I forgot to save it.

Say you have an area of high activity, and you want to protect that part of your playfield. The pop bumpers on AFM are a good example. I have seen sheets of clear vinyl that either cling or have a sticky side to them, and you can cut it into any shape you like, lay it down flat, and protect that area of your game's playfield.

Anyone know exactly what I am talking about? I have heard they sell this material at Office Depot/Staples, but I don't know exactly what it is called.

Actually, there is another option I am looking for. Mylar is very unforgiving if you make a mistake laying it down. The stuff I am looking for can be re-used again and again, and it does not risk pulling artwork from your playfield if you go to reapply (using compressed air turned upside down).

I do know about mylar, but man, that stuff can be pretty brutal if you mess it up... : (

All great suggestions, guys. I hope some people favor this thread for the future. The stuff I was looking for is Fellowes 3 mil self adhesive sheets.
