Quoted from Md2020:I apologize in advance..
With all due respect, looks like you have 4 machines and have had them for around 4 years?
I’m new to this hobby, I think I’m coming up on a year- Just recently bought my 3rd machine. Last night, I was stone drunk and the ball launcher on my just purchased MSF was sending every single ball STDM.
Did I write a post about getting f’ed by the seller and spending a bunch of money? No.
My drunk brain did the logical thing and tore the machine open to replace the stripped screw on the askew target. (What a hassle, had to remove one of the lighting boards to get to it, a hell of a task when you’re 6 tall boys deep).
I pray to allah there’s a post about your machine not working in the tech forums- not just this one caterwauling about what machines do best- break down.
I went nuts deep on my first machine, learned things the hard way. I know that I don’t have enough money to pay someone to fix my shit, sounds like you don’t either.
Open the machine up and get started, it’s the only way. If you don’t want to do that, then yeah. Maybe the hobby ISN’T for you after all.
Quoted from Jasenwm:So I know I was being a drama queen and throwing a tantrum but, the guy I bought it from just referred me to guy who fixes pins. After talking to him I learned alot actually all about the different switches that need to be open, etc. So he is coming Monday to check it out. I'm eager to learn I just hate like I'm sure all. Of you when a game sits not working. Thank you guys for all the advice! I'll keep you posted!
There’s a reason this hobby attracts the Alphas. Embrace the repair side ALONG with the play side and you’ll see why.
Buy roll around carts, they’ll fill with tools, testers, spare parts quickly. It’ll be a fun ride.
