One thing that I do is use tiny stickers used to mark wiring....mine go A-Z , 0-15 with some symbols. About 10 pages in booklet and I have not even used half yet. I mark wires and most playfield parts. I got mine at Home Depot. If you have a buffer, you can polish all ball guides , gates, ramp flaps, and I put things too small to buff in vibratory tumbler overnight.
