Starship Troopers Sega, 1997

Poking around my Starship Trooper backbox and I see this heavy duty connector with black/yellow and black/orange wires attached to it... but the connector isn't connected to anything. Anyone know what this might be used for? Thanks.

Todd mentions it in this recent Sega Viper Night Drivin' video - he doesn't know either - it looks to be the same connector.

In my collection, space jam , viper and starship troopers have this connector. I have been wondering what it was for also.

I saw that some years ago in mine as well. I don't know if they had planned something and scrapped it or if was a diagnostic connector or what it was.

Probably, as mentioned earlier, a growth feature that wasn't implemented.
