Awesome touch-ups, especially on her leg & robe. Looks 100% original & perfect.

Quoted from Axaios:

I am really puzzled with what to do with my playfield. It's in an very bad shape.

Belt sand, clearcoat, call it a "whitewood." It'll play like greased lightning and be the most fun game in your collection. Friend of mine did it to a Quicksilver like 15 years ago, when old Stern games were a dime a dozen.

Quoted from Axaios:

Yes but this will remove all the art from the playfield and this is a star Gazer.

Star Gazer is one of my favorite games of all time, so I don't say that lightly.

The art is beyond wrecked. Flaking, chipping, ugly repaints, bad varnish. Didn't you say it's so bad that it affects ball travel?

It would actually look & play better completely bare & smooth, in lieu of a new/restored playfield. Then if someone ever creates an overlay, you're ready to drop it in.

Was this the one that was for sale at Expo a couple years ago?

Yup, it come back around.

Yeah, I think the right leg (her right, our left) is too thin, mostly due to the original artist drawing the pants not quite baggy enough, with a small opening. Once you complete the drawing, you're forced to make her leg a bit too long & lanky compared to the bare leg. That said, you did an amazing job recreating the style of the original.

Might be good to add a hint of yellow/orange to her top. It's nude/flesh colored on the playfield, which looks oddly unfinished. On the backglass there's just enough color to make the bra distinct from her skin.

Looks pretty good! New red looks a bit more maroon or brick red compared to the original. New yellow might a bit on the orange side. Pardon my critical eye, I know color matching is difficult, and cameras can lie.

Central logo is missing the red, but I assume you know that.

If you have a good set of plastics, I would suggest trying to match those.
