Quoted from Tsskinne:

Yep S and INC. I was just more worried about the yellow showing up green when placed over the blue apron.

The yellow could be a little bit brighter but it is OK.

TIP: If you do use the decal, take your straight edge and cut all of the clear part away all the way to the edge of the yellow. I left a small strip of the clear on and now it is almost sitting over the corner of the apron and kind of wants to pull away.

Quoted from cottonm4:

this decal is the only game in town.

Their is a YouTube video of a guy who silk screened the artwork to the apron.

I know, vet-tor. You put it up some time back. And I lost track of it. I tried searching it but the guy who did the work, and I assume also made the video, is long gone. Like the made the one apron and high tailed it.

It was an apron for a Star Gazer, too.

You think you can find that video again?

#204 4 years ago

Try

#205 4 years ago

Thanks. That video was made in 2014 and this is far as I can trace it.

I found the video yesterday and looked them up on YouTube. I found their Facebook page and sent a message but haven’t heard back.

Can anyone tell me if ball guides are available for this game? Does anyone have a set to sell? Nothing at cliffys or mantis.

Kerry at Mantis made several sets. It looks like he is still selling them.

Awesome touch-ups, especially on her leg & robe. Looks 100% original & perfect.

My Star Gazer playfield is in a really bad shape plus that someone repainted in the past. Is beyond repair I believe.
I cannot buy a new one because I will pay an enormous custom tax to import it so it doesn't make any sense.
I know however that for some pins there are available one piece playfield stickers that covers the entire playfield. Make it look like new. Do you guys know if is this available for Star gazer or if there is any one out there that can make it on an order?

#222 3 years ago

Did you paid her whole body (flesh colour) , or just touch up her leg? I can't see any contrast at all.

Yours has white spinners and white standup targets. Is that factory? I was under the impression that white spinners came yellow SU targets and yellow spinners came with white SU targets.

It looks brand new.

Actually, both of them look real nice.

Hello guys.

I need your help on my Star Gazer restoration. I want to connect the connector to the board but previous owner cut some of the cables and solder them directly on the board.
You can see the previous cables at the right corner of the board.

I cant really tell what is the right order of the cables that should be into the connector.

Could you please post some good pictures that will help out please?

Plug the connector back onto the board and take another pic. We can help you. But we need to know which connector that is. Maybe someone else can figure it out, but I need to see it plugged in.

Quoted from cottonm4:

But we need to know which connector that is.

It's the J3 (25 pin 0.1") connector on the solenoid driver board.

Axaios I hope you have replaced that badly burnt J3 pin header..

Hello again.

Sorry for haven't replied all this time. It was really busy the last few weeks.

I need some photos, if someone can help, in order to understand the correct order of the cables into the connector.

You really should download a copy of the manual/schematics. It lists the J3 connector wire position/colors

Yours and a dark blue one that matches the dark blue of the play field. A pinsider in Dallas had his SG at TPF 3-4 years ago with the dark blue apron. But I have no idea what other colors, if any, and no idea of numbers.

Does the apron color (dark vs light) correlate with the target and spinner color-scheme as well (light apron, yellow targets, white spinners vs dark apron, white targets, yellow spinners)?

My game has the light apron, yellow targets and yellow spinners, so I guess not. I prefer the white target look so will use them when I do my new PF install, with yellow spinners.
