Hey, I just started working on my first Pin, a Gottlieb Stargate. The machine has not been in use for many years until it was recently moved to a new home.
After turning the game on it seemed like the left VUK would be activated every now and then while in attract-mode. While doing a quick test play I noticed that balls shot in the mentioned VUK wouldn't be ejected until the game started searching for them. When shot from the left Horus-target, a transporter award was never given and the ball would be stuck. It also got stuck there after starting a mode from the pyramid. Since the VUK itself is working as soon as the ball is being searched by the game I can imagine there may be a problem with the optical switch.
Another problem occurred on the right ramp which also never seemed to award anything.
Does anyone have any tips on how to fix these issues?
