Quoted from billsfanmd:

Not sure how pawn shops work....Would they check some sort of stolen report for a pin?

Pawn shops generally fax in their "buys" on loan each morning to the PD (depending on the laws of the city).

Do not expect that anyone at the PD cares enough about the game to actually look.

Call around and ask the local pawnshops if they have any pinball games. Don't lead on that you are looking for one that got stolen.

I would not count on that the game will be sold or pawned. Lot's of non pinheads would love to have a pinball machine in their basements.

Police chief in my city has been quoted saying "If they are inside your property, and you feel threatened, fire until your weapon is empty".

Love that guy.

Quoted from Pinball-is-great:

The pin may just end up in thief's garage/basement, or at one of his buddies place.

this.

I guess the "was" in this equation could be the kicker :/

Yeah, you are going down...

Quoted from Hammerhead1550:

I have a cousin who knows a lot of the criminal element in the area and is going to see who starts bragging about what they did, and if one brags about the pin, the he will get it back for me. (That side of my family is like the soprainos when it comes to thieves).

Excellent, I hope he shoots them in the face.

Quoted from jamespin:

Let us know if the thieves are ID'd.

That is usually not part of those "no questions asked" deals.

Quoted from Pafasa:

I agree, but someone obviously knows who they are and if the game is returned damaged, I think the thieves should be ID'd.

That obviously violates the first rule of thermodynamics.

You don't usually get to dictate the conditions of the return, just that it is indeed returned.

Quoted from Pafasa:

Thermodynamics????
Well I don't know much about microwave ovens, but if someone stole my hot pocket, and then returned it a few days later, I'd want to know who it was......so I could heat the hot pocket back up super hot and then force them to take a giant bite and scald the roof of their mouth. Then when they are jumping around the kitchen asking for a glass of water, I would tell them that some asshole stole our glasses.
There's some thermodynamics for ya.

Cool, don't divide by zero either.
