That's what mine looks like. My advice, leave it alone unless you are planning on a clear coat.
Clean it, wax it, throw in some led's and you won't even notice it unless you look for it. Put mylar under the drops as others mentioned.
Price range for a decent one in my neck of the woods (pac nw) is $1500-$2000 and they are hard to find.
I love mine and think its a total keeper. Cheers!
