Quoted from QuarterGrabber:Does anyone know where I can get the latest roms for Stargate?
Pinball Resource
Quoted from QuarterGrabber:Checked and couldn't see it there. Do you have a link?
I actually emailed Pinball Resource and asked them. They provided the part number to order.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Im hoping to get a game without a blown out playfield.
Mirco has been working on a playfield.
Quoted from nerbflong:Good! ColorDMD guys and I were worried it would be too much for people to do.
Easy to remove. I'm ready for a LCD ColorDMD install at the Houston Arcade Expo next week!! Can't wait to see it in color!

Thank you for coloring it!! Been waiting 7+ years. It is a great colorful show so far at the Houston Arcade Expo!!
Quoted from pinballinreno:I may have a stargate coming in a couple weeks!
I think I want the colorDMD for it.
Has anyone installed it on their game?
Which one do you like better, the LCD or the LED.
Are there any any installation issues with the LCD version?
I imagine that the LED version is a drop in replacement, as far as size, so I may go that route? unless the LCD version looks better for this game?
Any comments are appreciated.
Not even a few posts up, I installed the LCD into a friend's game for the Houston Arcade Show. Easy install, no issues. Just have to remove the red paint from the speaker panel that I linked the video to.
I always prefer the LCD. No issues installing it.
Quoted from pinballinreno:I'm sold on the LCD with the dotXL setting, just ordered it! Im very excited to get this game!
As always, which display will always be a personal preference.
I do recall trying all the modes on the LCD in Stargate, and like all the other games I have the LCD in, I keep going back to the Scan setting.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Im hoping for new playfields and plastics very soon!
Who is making the Stargate plastic set? Not on Mirco's radar that I am aware of.
Quoted from tonyf1965:Starship Fantasy does repo plastics too. They do good work. They just need a lot of interest first.
They have not done any Gottlieb items.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Mirco has the rights,
I know they have the rights to the playfield, but it doesn't mean they have the rights to the plastic set. My comment was only in response about Starship Fantasy.
Quoted from pinballinreno:His recent offerings are top notch for the most part.
Make sure you read about Mirco before totally going all in. They are the ones making most of JJP playfields, which have lot of clearcoat issues over the years. Even other game titles they make have not been immune to issues either. Sure hope they resolve their issues.
Quoted from Charles_Kline:My GI flashes/dims when I push the flippers, should I look at rebuilding the power supply or is it just the way it is on this era of Gottlieb?
The GI goes through one of the 3 relays at the bottom of the cabinet. I think that is one potential issue. Loose GI fuse holder is another.
Quoted from slamswitch:Odd reset issue;
Playing my machine last month... Machine was set to free play and has new nvram installed (no batteries) ... Got wizard mode (don't believe this is relevant to the issue but might be?), finished the game, powered the machine off then unplugged it for a couple weeks. Plugged it back in, powered it on, now it's in coin mode, free play is off. High scores are retained as are other settings. Seems like it took itself out of free play... I'm stumped
Can you snap a picture of the NVRAM installed and the area around the old battery?
Quoted from PinballManiac40:Here is one way to deal with the red paint on the speaker panel without the need to buy a new speaker panel insert.
Quoted from ParkRangerPinball:gotta get a new speaker panel next, this one kinda trashed
You are only missing the plastic panel insert with the artwork printed on it.
