Hi everyone, new to the club. Have been wanting this title for quite some time, so excited to be here. The one I got is a little bit of a project, so I started a thread here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/help-needed-gottlieb-stargate-system-3

Any help, advice, or encouragement is welcome!

Quoted from mystman12:

Speaking of pulling the playfield out... I managed to do so, but the thing got stuck halfway... I have no idea what got caught, but I just couldn't seem to pull it far enough to set it on the built in supports. I ended up crying for help so someone could bring me some wood boards to set the playfield on; I was *not* about to set that thing down so it would sit on the solenoids.

Mine was very difficult to pull out at first as well. I suspect my cabinet is not square anymore and its pinching. Had to pull pretty hard to get it to come all the way out where I could lean playfield against head.

Quoted from mystman12:

Would that likely slow the ball down enough to prevent it from bouncing back down?

Havent got mine working to the point where I can reproduce this. Hope to soon!

Any thoughts on the rope light? Mine is not working and I see some charred spots on it so I assume I need to replace it. Is there any interesting mods or options out there or is the repro light rope from PBR the best option?

Quoted from Jvspin:

Does anyone know what the dimensions of the speaker panel artwork plastic are (including the thickness)? if I'm not mistaken, it is separate from the wood holding the speakers.
Thanks in advance for any help.
