Quoted from Edenecho:

Hi fellow owners. I wondered if any can help.
I discovered lately that the kicker target to the left of the pyramid did not register. I fickled with the blue-green wire and pulled it loose very easy. Bad connection i assumed.
Then i soldered it onto the same lug with the other wires, but still the switch does not register. I got unsure if the wire was supposed to be on the other lug ie the other side of the diode. I tried soldering it on there, but then the tournament switch did not work, except now the kicker target worked again but it slso triggered the tournamen switch at the same time. I see both are on same switch column so suspect that was wrong wiring.
Can anyone send me a photo of how the wires should be attached to the center kicker target switch?
Thanks [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Here's how it looks on mine.

Hey guys. Question. This being my first Stargate, is there supposed to be anything attached here where the ball launches too. It’s just a piece of metal. Looks like it’s have some kind of stop.[quoted image]

Nothing attaches there as far as I know but there is a bit of foam padding above that on mine.

I had the same issue with the drop targets not resetting and got some from help from another owner on here. He suggested to slightly bend this metal piece away from the guide where it slides up. Mine was catching on there and doing this got it working again. I had to disassemble the mech but it was a quick fix. Just start with a small bend to see if it's enough to not catch and go from there. Mine didn't need much. He also mentioned using a graphite spray to help with the movement.

Quoted from frisbez:

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the wiring on my bullseye target? The outer target won't register. As I look at it I realize the red blue wires are on a lug for the inner target only..so should they both be on the outer target lug (second from front)? Or?
Any help appreciated![quoted image]

Hope this helps

Replacing the right flipper switch and noticed the new one I got from Marco has 4 connection points where the original only has 3. The part numbers match up to PBRs listing. Can I still use this or should I order a different switch? Thanks for any help.

Update: Called Steve at Pinball Resource. This is the right switch and since there are two terminals together on the front row only one of them needs to have a connection. Was confused since the switch in my machine only had 3 terminals.

Recently did a teardown on the playfield to clean and I also rebuilt the flippers. Since then I noticed the left ramp seems harder to it than it was before and I'm trying to narrow down the cause. Not sure if it was like this before but I'm getting a bounce on the upper flipper when the ball rolls down the right lane so when I go to flip the ball it's off the flipper and I'm not getting a full strength flip which I think could be why I can't make the ramp shot consistently. The still photo shows where I'd normally flip and just how far away the ball is at that point. Does anyone else's game do this? If you could post a picture of your flipper angle I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Quoted from Magicmike0:

Mine did this too. It ended up being the L bracket on the back side of the guide rail(above the flipper) was broken. The one that secured the rail to the playfield.
My guide rail was no longer guiding the ball down the flipper anymore, as it was sitting back too far. I still haven’t fixed it. I ended up putting an old flipper rubber between the post(that sits behind the guide rail) and the guide rail.
It works for now. I haven’t had any issues except it vibrated loose once. I put it back and have played several games with no problems. I have contacted Steve from the pinball Resource and he didn’t have any guide rail replacements.
Maybe check to see if that’s your issue? Hope it helps.

Thank you! That helps a lot and now I know what to look for. I appreciate the info!

Update: That's exactly what it was, broken bracket on the guide rail. Looks like a previous owner had already tried to fix this by using a longer screw and a post sleeve. I replaced that sleeve with a fatter tapered one and it works great now, I'm able to consistently hit the ramp shot. Thanks again for the help!

Quoted from JLouLoulou:

Hi all!
I have a problem with my stargate, i don't find how to resolve it.
The problem is when i make the skillshot for exemple, when the ball go into sarcophagus left kicker, nothing happened.. There no specific cinematic on dmd anymore, and ball not kicking. I need to wait pinball making cycle to eject the ball. I test the switch in diag menu ( opto + sarcophagus rollover ), they works fine. It's like if the ROM do nothing. I change the ROM, it's do nothing too.
Anyone have an idea?

I've had this happen and cleaning the switch contact for the sarcophagus fixed it. Worth a try if you haven't already. You can use a crisp dollar bill between the contacts and pinch them together as you pull the bill through a few times. A business card would work too.

Quoted from Pahuffman:

Does anybody know if you can make small adjustments to the drop target on the right orbit shit? Mine is sitting about 1/8 inch too high. It sends the ball airborne and prevents it from completing the shot. Thought I'd ask before I took the whole mech apart to add washers.

Yes it is adjustable. It's been a while since I adjusted it but I think you just loosen one or two screws and slide it up or down and retighten. I don't think you need to disassemble the mech or add anything. I held a straight object on top of the playfield covering the drop target and raised it up until it touched and then tightened the screw.
