New Stargate club member here! If anybody ever wondered what a $600 Stargate looks like, here you go.

Needless to say, I’m ready for the new playfields to come out.

Quoted from DanQverymuch:

Someone tore it down and tried to remove the mylar? Aughh!
I presume you got a box of parts with it?

Yeah, there’s three boxes of parts that I have for it. It looks to be mostly complete and the cab is in good shape. Just need a playfield now

Just joined the club again. I did some trading last weekend, and end up with a wreck of a Stargate. The previous owner started to tear down the playfield to see about restoring it and got in over his head.

I love the theme and the game is fun, so I’ll just keep this one folded up in storage until the repro playfields become available.

Quoted from arcademojo:

One of the European guys makes cab decals also. Forget who. They are not posted on their site so you have to ask.

I’d be interested in knowing who makes them or any leads on who might know

Quoted from AMSNL:

Anybody made pinsound work with this game? Would love to change the sounds

Nothing from PinSound, but this project is in the works - https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/stargate-alternative-sound-audio-gottlieb-system-3-#post-6817466

Quoted from Biju:

I just brought home a project Stargate! The big problem with it seems to be that the upper flipper blows fuse 24 after a few flips. No idea what that's about but I'm looking forward to the challenge of fixing it up. I'll begin reading through this thread in the meantime but for now it's time for some dinner after spending the last several hours getting it home. (I had to take the head off in order for it to fit in my car--didn't realize how big those Gottlieb cabs are!)

Congrats! That was an amazing deal for $1500!

Quoted from Biju:

I was extremely happy the other person backed out as I was 2nd on the list. Apparently he didn't have a way to transport it but at that price getting a u-haul was my next option.
I just got the head back on and reconnected and I'll do the resistance check once my garage gets back down to a normal temperature.
Wharhed I *think* you had a Stargate PF for sale. We might need to chat as this one has the PF completely mylar'ed. I'm going to attempt to pull it up but I have concerns this has been on since the 90s.

Yep, I do have the playfield for sale. Let me know if you need it
