Has anybody ever noticed that the upkicker habitrail in the back on the right hand side has 2 different designs? Some have a wire piece around the end to stop the ball and make it drop down whereas others dont. Did Gottlieb just change the design mid production i guess?

Take the pyramid off and check out all the wiring to the glidercraft mech. Ive had this happen twice now and both times it was just a different broken wire either going to the motor or the limit switch.

Quoted from Taschmitt1:

Thanks for the guidance! I removed the pyramid and the glidercraft mechanism. Everything appeared to be connected snugly but after testing every connect I noticed the problem. After removing the heat shrink material I saw a broken wire going into the motor!
A quick fix after that and now I am up and running again. I appreciate your help. My dad bought this stargate back in 1997 and I played it all during my childhood. As me and my siblings grew and moved out, it was placed in his basement and sat for many years unused. My dad passed away last year and I decided it was time to resurrect the Stargate I had it shopped this past winter and installed an LED light kit. I have it in my basement now and my four kids play it constantly. Glad I found this thread and am able to share how much this machine means to me.

Youre welcome, Im glad you got it all sorted!
