I want back in the club. If any of you know of a decent example near Louisville give me a shout. I am really looking to buy the end of next month.

I want back in the club. If any of you know of a decent example near Louisville give me a shout. I am really looking to buy the end of next month.
I recently purchased my second Stargate. I traded my last one before this club was started.
This one will not be leaving!!
My glidercraft needed some touch-ups and I got a little creative. Should I leave the cockpit black or do gold on it also?

I also had to create my own pyramid lift bracket. I'm pretty proud of myself but it looks slightly redneck engineered.
My auto-launch kicker arm is missing the forks. Does anybody have an extra that you would sell? Steve is out of this part and I'm not sure where else to grab it.
I added some playfield spot lights to highlight the ramps, Horus/Anubis and pyramid. I mounted one under the skill shot plastic and the other above the 2 drop targets. I used CT bulbs and initially thought that they were too bright. I got a little creative with bulb prophylactics. What do you think?

.......and yes, I know. Kurt looks a little rough. I think he looks kind of zombified.
I would love for a tech guru to show me how to wire LEDs as eyes that light only when the guards lift.
Make sure that the glidercraft functions. Check the optos. Pass a ball through each and make sure that they register.
$2,500 needs to be completely perfect.
I don't think that it is a hard machine to diagnose at all. I have brought two of them back to life. The issues listed above are the most typical ones. There is no shortage of help here if you buy it with issues. Make sure that you pay accordingly though!
Quoted from Wolfmarsh:Thanks! I've been kinda looking it over. Looks like if I just peel away the ramps it will start to open up.
I'm freaking loving this game!
Mine is never leaving unless a nicer one comes along. It is such a great game.
Shopping it is like anything else, just peel back the layers.
Quoted from PIN_GROOM:Dang...I guess that answers that question.
Yeah, no.
I would be happy to give you a heads up if I see one near us though!
Quoted from Wolfmarsh:Apologies if this has been posted before, but I'm going to start printing this! It moves!

That looks awesome!
I'll bet that the welds are broken on the side of that ramp and the screws are supporting that side.
Quoted from QuarterGrabber:No one making pinblades for Stargate yet But I was going to throw these in it. I think they would look good in Stargate.

Those look pretty good.
Quoted from DamianEX:Hello everyone, I just received Stargate as my first pin from an auction so I'm going to try to do what I can to restore it. I found most of the parts I know I need but are still looking for the golden pyramid (was completely missing) pyramid shield 31239 and the shooter gauge plastic that was broken, 27980-742.
Anyone happen to run across anyone parting one out as I can't seem to find these parts online. I'm excited to see if I can get my machine going since viewing some of your posts and pictures!
If Steve has the shooter gauge plastic or any other plastic, please let us know!
Quoted from Gov:My dad is going to do a write up of how he did his. He used small LED's and had to add some resistors. It looks fantastic and blinks and everything like it should.
Awesome!!
Quoted from mystman12:Huh, I only have wear on the bomb, guess I'm pretty lucky! Although I'm not sure if any of the previous owners ever did any touchups.
Yeah, I payed a little less than 1900 for mine.... (And I've really enjoyed the learning process!) Feel my price was more than fair, but I'm inexperienced so that probably doesn't mean much coming from me!
You are happy and you are learning something. That is really all that matters!
Quoted from Brunsie:This was my first LED conversion so I'm no expert. I spent about 6 months reading up on posts containing "LED" in this forum and looking at Stargate U-Tube videos. I went with Comet Pinball LEDs for no particular reason. Their non-ghosting bulbs fit fine. Note that the two opmax bulbs I used required enlarging the existing holes in the playfield. I leaned heavily to not use colored bulbs - a matter of choice and great debate in the forums. Except for RAs eyes (gotta go red) and the green combo inserts. My LED list below. Mainly used various cool white and warm white with various lenses and LED counts. For the back box I attempted to copy from TNT Amusement:

I still want to add a blue LED rope light and play with replacing various red posts with clear posts with post lights - winter projects.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
You have inspired me to go warm white in mine. Great job, man.
Quoted from JustEverett:Anyone have a source for the light rope in the back box?
Steve Young should have some at the pinball resource.
