Hey guys! This may have been answered before, but I didn’t wanna resurrect an 5yr old post that I didn’t see an answer in. I have recently bought my first Stargate(awesome game) and the previous owner replaced the rope light with an Led strip. As you can see, the results look great, and personally I really love the blue lighting. I’m not sure about the plug system they used, but may have been the easiest, or the only way to make it work?
Without getting into a debate which is better, this lighting or original... I am just wondering if there is an easy way to get the other flashers(Ra’s eyes/white rails) in the back box to work with this Led strip addition. It appears that they unhooked a harness to possibly make this work. Either that or they didn’t hook it back up. I’m still very new with Wiring and voltage and all that. I don’t wont to hook this harness back up if it could damage something.
Again, hopefully without making fun of me for this electronic noob question, does anybody know how I can get this LED strip to work in unison with the original flashers? I want to see Ra’s eyes/and white railing flashers go off during gameplay. If this means I need to go back to original, I don’t mind doing that.

Normaly a led rope is a 12Vdc so you can solder it directly to the background illumination plug. On the schematic there is 20Vdc at the rope plug and led works with a voltage between 12Vdc to 24Vdc.
As you can see on pictures the rope stop lightning when eyes of Ra are on.
I bought the pinball with this update and I think it work well but cannot help you more by looking on the display cause I'm about to restore it and unplugged the playfield.

Look at your led rope tranformator and if the output is a 12vdc you can cut it and directly solder the led rope without the tranformator to the backbox plug.

Hope that help you.

Thanks so much! What is the number on that plug? Is it A27J2?
Wonder if you can still make the led blue after doing that? As it is now, the end of my LED strip goes to plug they installed. The LED strip is hooked to the black control cord that reads 5v. I don’t suppose I can wore the controller in somehow too? Lol. I know I’m an idiot.

Nope A27J2 is to powered a printer and keep informations... the right plug is A10P8 on the right of your picture, connected to the white panel with all front bulbs. His got brown green green wire and orange X3 wire colors.
You cannot plug directly your blue led rope as it is too low in voltage...5V is not enough. You might bought a 12V to 24Volts.
You can find any colors of led for a good price on internet.

Oh okay. I told you I was dumb with this. Haha. Makes sense though. I forgot the original rope light had a plug since I’ve never seen it. So the plug hanging on the right of my pic would normally plug direct to rope light eh?
I see what you’re saying now. Since it’s hanging free now, that’s why my eyes and rails aren’t working, correct?
So if I just buy a 12-24 V led strip to replace mine, and wire it directly to the plug hanging on the right(A10P8) everything should work?
If I understand it correctly sounds easy enough. I just need to get a connector and another Led strip, now. Thanks again!
