When you say the flipper button works in test mode, you do mean in switch test it recognizes the button being pressed, or that the flipper actuates in conjunction with pressing the left cabinet button? I'm unfamiliar with later Gottlieb pins, so not sure of the test section on these and whether they fire flipper coils as part of the coil test.
Quoted from Covey:The button does not move the flipper at all. The flipper is dead. The button/switch only works in test mode to scroll through the menu's.
At this point I can't help you unless I get a copy of the schematic from somewhere, but some things to check would be:
- Flipper board fuse and any fuses on the underside of the PF
- Flipper enable relay on MPU
- Rectifier on Flipper board
