Hi Guys im after some help with the glider craft motor, I recently purchased a Stargate and upon doing some fiddling about, I've come to realize that the rear of the glider craft has no actual motor somebody had removed the 24vdc motor. Does this control both the left and right alongside with the forward and back directions of the craft? Looking at PBR there is a replacement available, I have the pcb interface board but was after a few pictures on how the whole setup looks like, the manual states there are 3 switches which control the operation I can locate switch 21 which appears to connect back under the playfield are the other two "30" and "A2" also below the playfield or above? maybe they're are also missing!. Lastly how does the motor wire up to the pcb? I can see the molex pins on the pcb interface does it matter which of the two wires go to which pin on the pcb, any info on how the whole thing is completed and operates with some pics would be awesome

thanks in advance

The glider craft needs 3 switches to works.

SW30 activate Sol.23 for move craft forward. Locate back of the glider over the playfield (pics 1 and 2)

SW21 activate Sol.22 for move craft left to right. Locate under the playfield (pics 3 an 4)

The third switch is SWA2 activate Sol.15 that is used to know if the pyramid is open or not. If it is open, the pinball can launch the forward moves of the glider. The switch locate back of the glider is used to pull down the pyramid at the end of the sequence.

After 25 years of intensive use, the right and left motors of my Stargate brokes and Gottlieb have never put fuses on those motors to prevent PCB burns and A3 transistor burns. So I recommend you to add fuses on those motors. I put 7A fuses but I think it is too big...need to recalculate it when I finished my playfield restoration.

Good luck in your restauration
