Good evening! As always, thank you for all your help. I don't post much, but read and enjoy posts on here often. I have a Stargate, everything on it works just dandy except the 2 flasher bulbs in the backbox that are behind the translight. Aren't they supposed to flash in attract mode? Any ideas? Perhaps a setting that I'm missing? We've done the obvious, changed bulbs and checked the wiring. Thanks again.

Perhaps they'll flash in attract mode. Perhaps not. Hard to say.
Sometimes Gottlieb wired two flashers in series. Both must be good to work.
Do you have the manual?
What are the flasher numbers?
What is the drive transistor?

Well that's a start! Thanks Chris!

If the transistor on A3 board is dead you might shunt all ground wires (White wires) before plugs at the top left of the transformer. On mine it solves any problems. You can see pictures on pinrepair.com

I have a Stargate for repair. I can tell the flashers are supposed to flash during attract mode.
I disconnected one and the other flashes, so they are not connected in series on SG.

On mine, no one flash on attract mode...better try on test mode.

I thought for sure that the flashers will work at the end of a game for a short time period and then not during attract mode in order to save idle current and extend the life of the flashers.

Thanks so much guys. This will help a lot. I did try test mode and I see white rails or something like that but nothing gives there. Gonna get at it in the next few days and I'll let you know. Thanks again. What a GREAT darn game. Might be one of my favs.

Flasher test is incorporated into the solenoid test on Gottlieb system 3 machines.
