I have put the old ROM back in and it has booted up.
I then did a factory reset and the billions problem is gone.
Supplier is going to send me another ROM.
I did have the board on a table to install them.

Have installed new ROM.Turned it on and got error message.Turned off again then on and it has booted up.
The issue I still have is that when I try to put initials in when I get a high score the letters scroll through and I cant pick a letter.Both flipper buttons do this.Any ideas on a fix for this?
I also lost a line on the DMD display.

Sorry for the thread revival.
I was playing in a comp on Saturday where the Stargate was giving out a 5 billion point award. Nobody could work out how/why. Happened 5 or 6 times throughout the comp. Happened twice to me.
Anyone out there work out if it was a software bug or actually a part of the game?

Hi Boof-Ed. I have not had an attack of the billions for 3 years now but I still have the problem of letters scrolling when putting in initials.It is not part of the game and I still dont know why it happened.Sorry I have not been more helpful.If you find any reason please share. Cheers

Boof-Ed do you recall anything specific on the display from when this occurred?

The most likely thing you'd hit at random that gives 5M is the first of the in-order drop target awards. The points for these are pretty significant if you get them in order - 5,10,20,40,60M.
