I'm fixing a Star Wars Trilogy and can't get the cannon diverter to work. It grabs the ball with the magnet but then only moves half way across and drops the ball back on the same ramp.

I fully cleaned all the parts and made sure that the wires are not fowling the mechanism.

I read somewhere that the coil should be changed to a 27-800, the current and correct coil according the manual is a 23-800. Is this a known fix for this problem?

Any other know fixes for this problem?

Cheers
Steve
