Accessories are supposedly coming after Christmas. I'm guessing that licensing has held them up...hopefully for the better.

Quoted from Delta9:R2D2 with holygram is what i heard
That could be pretty damn cool. I bet the topper features a mini LCD that gives off the effect of R2 projecting the hologram. What clips though beyond the "Help me Obi Wan Kenobi" onr could be played? Hopefully Disney would allow Stern to project other clips but I could see Disney saying "R2D2 can only "project" clips shown in the movies".
Quoted from unigroove:As editor of Pinball Magazine I just received a photo of the Stern booth at the Chinese AAA show of a few weeks ago, at which Gary Stern and Dave Peterson were both present. In the photo you can see Batman, Aerosmith and Star Wars with each game having a topper. Could this be a preview of the Star Wars topper? I'm no expert on toppers. The Aerosmith one looks like something I've seen before, but the Batman one is new to me. Picture taken by Homepin at the AAA Show in Guangzhou.
Oh wow. The AS one is based off the official topper but looks like a card board cut out version, same with Star Wars and Batman. Sounds like R2D2 will be the official topper for Star Wars and HOPEFULLY will rotate and light up. Thanks
How cool would it be if the topper has a motion sensor in it that results in R2 moving when someone walks by it while in attract mode?
Yeah, it seems like most of Sterns toppers either don't do enough or are not integrated very well into the game so they are used rarely. Hopefully the R2D2 topper is different. From what I read Dwight bought an LE so the chance for some cool interaction with the topper is high.
Quoted from tbanthony:SW is such a fast game, why the heck do I need a topper for $500? I'll never look at it while playing. It's a $500 decoration for when I'm not playing the game.
Because we need a puppet Yoda topper popping out of a box and doing his crazy Empire Strikes Back laugh when the ball drains quickly!
