Critics slammed Bright and loved Star Wars. I’ve seen them both and thought Bright was better. What say you?

Haven't seen Jedi yet, but just finished watching bright and I really liked it. Great action scenes!

    I thought “Bright” was outstanding.

I loved the world that was created.

I was enthralled from minute one. The action was sometimes over the top, but I still found it very entertaining.

It gets the edge over TLJ in my book.

Still processing my (torn) feelings on TLJ. I just finished Bright and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.

I haven't seen Bright but I want my 36 bucks back for "The Lame Jedi"

OK, I just watched bright last night. I saw TLJ last weekend. I went and watched bright because of this thread and knew about the comparison before I watched it.

    Here's my thoughts.

I was into Bright about 35 min. (had to pause to make some food), at which time I analyzed what I have seen so far.

At the 35 min mark of the movie of bright. I'm already emotionally invested in both main characters. I'm intrigued with the story line. Already the movie is well acted, well done effects, written/directed well.

At the 35 min mark of TLJ. I was holding my head like a frustrated Captain Picard, because of the slap stick cheesy out of place humor , with a storyline that is dragging with nothing building up. or enough to hold any interest.

Bright was great. Had a compelling story line. Captivating characters that you actually care about. Good direction. Well done.

TLJ- Heading towards the prequel direction. Empty story, lots of plotholes. Ridiculous slapstick humor (IE.Jar jar or singing peanut from special editions). Characters that are 2 dimensional and some are completely pointless.
