i'm having a problem with the outlane save gate on my star wars. Both in game and when testing it from the coil menu it won't close (or if i push it closed, won't open). Can't work out whats wrong with the mech - any advice on how to solve troubleshoot would be much appreciated.

Couple of videos in case my description is not clear

If you remove the gate will the motor turn back and forth on command like it's supposed to? It looks to me like the gear inside the motor is stripped and you'll need a new motor. Can you dismount the motor from under the playfield and test it in your hand?

I'm having the same problem with my nib premium, do you know the fix?

I just fixed this on my day old NIB premium...The gate was very stiff and wouldn't move at all during the coil test. There is a small screw UNDER the playfield that holds the outgate post (not the star head screw on top but the bottom hex/thumbscrew) mine was super tight...I loosened it, readjusted the outgate and moved the gate to where it should be when closed, and retightend, making sure it was aligned correctly with the shooter lane and had freedom of movement...easy quick fix
