Hi all - this is my first post here - I’m pretty new to this whole Pinball thing and I need some help.

I have a Star Wars Pro that suddenly shut down mid game today. The fan stayed on for a bit and then that turned off too. Can’t get anything to power on now.

I checked the circuit breaker, outlet and where the power cord enters the back box. Those seem fine.

Inside the back box I don’t have any lights coming on on the power board. My guess would be the fuse (which I’ll try replacing once stores open in the morning) but it doesn’t look broken or burnt...

Anyone else have this problem? If it’s not the fuse what else could it be?

Thank you!!!

Nope, I’m not getting anything - no noises, lights, fan ... nothing at all

There is power at the service outlet. Does that rule out the fuse?

We found the problem. Posting for future reference if anyone else runs into the same problem -

The shaker motor appears to have severed its own wire which in turn likely shorted out the power board.

Update - unplugging the shaker motor allowed the game to boot so at least the power board wasn’t fried.

Now to fix the shaker motor wire and reroute it / tweak the cover so it won’t happen again
