Quoted from WODKA:

Who said that Sterns Star Wars pin will be based on the new movie?

Its not. It's based on the original Trilogy.

Who said there is s star wars pin commin?

Let's take bets: Who says Jared will just F with us again and make the Facebook banner go dark...before returning to the Aerosmith banner.

#54 6 years ago

In a predictiony guessy musing out loud thread? How about you provide your source that it isn't true.

This game will be a wide body right?

#56 6 years ago
Quoted from beelzeboob:

I would guess, but I can't see anyway because they banned me for asking if adding more LE versions of the Paperflock book was going to upset original LE buyers.

Also, we're probably not seeing anything tomorrow now. Things have changed.

Quoted from Toasterdog:

I don't really think of the "Dark" vs. "Light" with this franchise.

Really?? The whole, "don't give into the dark side of the force" that's the back bone of most of the story line and prevalent throughout basically every movie in the series doesn't make you think of this franchise?

So many people are banned off Sterns facebook, their loyal customers. Like you it doesn't come up on my feed anymore. A customer that has 70k worth of Stern machines has to go 'searching' for news as I cannot even like their page.
120k people like it....each post gets like 200 likes or less on average.
All the people banned at probably the most passionate people anyway - if someone i know likes a Stern post it won't come up on my feed.

JJP has 1/4th the amount of people liking their page but the same, about 200 likes or less on each post.

Marketing Genius.

Should be a Sith version and Jedi version of each LE.

Sith LE art:
Darth Vader
Darth Sidious
Darth Maul
Lord Dooku

Jedi Art:
Luke Skywalker
Obi Wan
Yoda
Qui Jon

#60 6 years ago
Quoted from knockerlover:

I really would love to know how much an LE is going to cost me, because I'm holding out on other games. Hopefully we don't get SuperLE'd

Well Disney is the license holder if that has any indication on price. Also, you are dealing with the Star Wars IP so...

#61 6 years ago
Quoted from DaveH:

In a predictiony guessy musing out loud thread? How about you provide your source that it isn't true.

The thread starts with " is that only pinside rumors or is it confirmed?" And several people are stating "facts". If you're going to say "It will be.." etc. I think its reasonable to ask for a source.

I haven't stated any so-called facts, so what would I need a source for?

I completely get the dark side. It's the 'light side' term I'm unfamiliar with, even though it makes since representing the 'good' side.

Lets see if it was Alot of bullshit/wast of time talk on pinside OR ...

Maybe there will be a $30k Super Sith Edition! Only 2 made. "Only two there are, no more, no less". Lol

Like many I'm guessing, I'd rather see the Dark Side LE in my game room than the Light Side. Just cooler looking guys. They should make the LSLE music really mellow and DSLE some sort of heavy rock to round out the differences, LOL.

I don't know what the translite will look like but it won't be better than this.

tomorrow is the 40th anniversary of Star Wars ! it would be a perfect day to announce a 40th anniversary game ! as long as it has the cantina band i am in !!

#69 6 years ago

On another note, it is very tempting to get on a list but I've tried to swear off pre-orders and so far I've been successful. Just like Luke, I must learn to resist the dark side of pre-orders.

#70 6 years ago

I like how jjp does their side art. Mostly good guys on one side and bad guys on other side. I'm hoping the premium does something similar.

Actually May 25th, 1977 was the release date not May 4th.

wait what's that mean? you mean like AFM/Tron, etc?

Were they centered on the playfield like SM? You sound as though you have seen the layout and were not impressed.

#76 6 years ago

I guess this one will have a second shaker, which will be activated only once...

if you made it to the final battle and destroy the death star.
the whole pin is shaking as hell and... fall apart ..

ok ... no.. not possible.. for there will be no code for a final mission.

no, serious.
if Stern manage to do their homework and deliver the demanded code updates, fixes the problems regarding cabinets and playfields, than my next NIB could be a star wars pinball..
if not, well, sorry, played actually TBL and Alien.. great games.. i am no fanboy of *put here a name of the company you wish* m, so i am totally open to what comes next

I'd much rather have the Bounty Hunter LE

Boba Fett
Bossk
IG-88
Dengar
4-LOM
Kuckuss
All surrounding Solo in carbonite!

If it has a moving 3 bank target I'm probably in. I have yet to play a game with a moving 3 bank wall with a deep ruleset (excluding AMH). Tron is so shallow, SM feels like chopping wood, and AFM is about as simple as it gets.

ST has a moving one bank and deep rules...

I like chopping wood!

Not sure if deep rules can help my fatigue of moving 3 bank targets. 3 of the last 5 games I've bought and sold have all had a moving 3 bank. Please no!!! If it's a Getaway turbo charger and moving 3 bank I'm out.

This thread is the reason why Stern has no reason to improve their cheapness/build quality/software issues prior to release. My prediction is the lockbar will be held down with Velcro.

Velcro is too expensive.

Not surprised unfortunately. This wait is killer

3 flippers?
Magnets?
Warp ramp?
Two Special Editions?

All have been rumors and somewhat confirmed.

I'll play yours, when is the unboxing party

#94 6 years ago

I won't be buying since I'm not a SW fan but I bet Stern is going to kill it on this game here, I can feel it!

#95 6 years ago

Its a Pinball 2000 platform..
Finally getting Episode 2 out!

Based on previous history, probably a year from now...

I would like to see a combo version, same as done for TF. That would be my choice but only if they get their QM problems solved.

Seems like a huge missed opportunity to tie into May 4th, there is usually a tonne of new products and collectors items announced leading up to 4th or revealed on the day itself, seems like the ideal day to pull in Star Wars fans who are not in the pinhead crowds.

It is. If you remember with Ghostbusters, IGN and any market imaginable had the scoop on announcement day, too. This isn't a typical reveal.

It must just not be ready at all.
