Quoted from Kobaja:

I've been following this thread for a while now and keep wondering.
To me, most of these "mods" are completely disruptive to the overall game design. More detail, more stuff, more LEDs. More isn't always better and not everything is meant to stand out. Some things, like the bezel of the playfield LCD, should NOT draw attention in my opinion in order to leave the stage to the screen itself. This goes for a lot of things.
While for example a detailed weathered design of a millenium falcon might look great as a model by itself, it might just not correspond to the overall design rules and philisophy (linewidth, colors, granularity of detail) of the rest of the things in a pinball machine. A pinball machine looks great mainly because everything is consistent, not because everything is super detailed.
Obviously this is my personal opinion - I personally wouldn't install any of these modifications, even if they were free.

The falcon is in the premium and LE, why shouldn't people have that same option for the pro, and at much lower cost. Stern has stripped down their games at all levels, modders try to bring the game to a better level visually and, in many cases, to improve game play (airball deflectors, moving spotlights so you can see the playfield, bezels, etc
