That's how i feel Steve approached this game. It's his vision of how he would want to play a SW's pin. It's fast as hell and i love the hyperdrive.
However, while it will meet a lot of people's expectations I think others like myself were looking for more of the world of SW under the glass and not just reflected on the Lcd.
The Death Star is a big meh for me, so many other ways to incorporate SW assets into the game.
Then again, its HIS vision. Maybe it will be a long term winner, its such a great theme.
That's also the beauty of Stern, if the Force isn't with you this time, there will be another option right around the corner.

There isn't an unlimited amount of $$ to keep pumping into $8k plus pins.
The secondary sales, as they start to take big hits, will slow down the bigger buys.

We haven't seen any significant softening of the secondary market. Today's new crop of pinball collectors would rather let something sit than take any kind of a loss, even on a NIB game. Don't see that changing anytime soon.

Watch the market forum. Evidence is right there every day
Some of the new crop wants to sell TH for example to buy the new $9k DI
They paid $8k plus and sells in the high $6k range
Same thing will happen wth DI and is happening with Stern $8k plus pins
