I wanted an LE really badly, but just can't justify it. I'll be getting a premium and then adding my own powder coating, etc to make my own version of a limited game. I'm actually liking the LE artwork more and more, but I like the premium artwork too so I'll be fine with my decision.

Quoted from HOOKED:

For those that have their LE - is the light in the death star working yet?
Anti climactic explosion on that vid with JD.

Stern posted a video on Facebook Friday I think. It showed the Death Star exploding (animated open/close and then open) and the lights working. It looked fine but it's not mind blowing.

At least it doesn't just crack open like a skull and show a dead brain inside like before.

Death Star blowing up at Stern Factory.

If you don't use Facebook not sure how you can see it.

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

In the video I posted above, we filmed the Death Star exploding.

I wasn't sure if it'd be the same. It seems to be.

Around 17min mark on your video for anyone looking.

Quoted from Apollyon:

Short review... we love it!

"Short"...I see what you did there

Glad you like it, my premium will be here early next week.

My premium should be at the distributor tomorrow if all goes well and my house tomorrow afternoon or Thursday morning. If the LEs aren't done, then they have fired up a premium line.

Quoted from pinballophobe:

I would seriously be pissed off at stern if u got your premium before I got my LE. paid in full back in mid July.

I'm a bit surprised too, but it's left Stern on the truck and slated to be here. Hope you get your LE soon.

Hey for all you guys struggling with the auto launch to the left outlane, or just the outlanes in general. I'm not the best nudger, but damned if this game doesn't require you to nudge by bumping the machine forward. Don't try to use side to side nudges, just get use to bumping it forward when the ball is toward the outlanes, or even screaming from the auto launch. This has made a world of difference to me.

I played some games with Steve Ritchie at TPF a few different times and he always seemed to nudge by bumping the machine forward. Seems like this one really responds to his style of play.

I did tighten the left outlane too, but not the right (there's already an escape save there). Helped the wife and kids out quite a bit and I get to benefit from it too.

So far my high scores are just shy of 2 billion. Death Star multiball definitely gives a lot of points, but I've gotten as many points without lighting it up (different characters).
