Quoted from jints56:

Lack of info or communication led me to bail late last week.

For anyone who knows.

I haven't asked since ACDC. Does your distributor just give you the $2K deposit back or did you not have to put a deposit down ....or what? Thanks for any feedback to anyone who dropped out or knows what the scoop is today. Also, has anyone moved up because someone dropped out ahead of them?

My distributor said that US LE's are starting to ship next week. Didn't ask if that meant his batch or all.

There should be some out there soon for us to complain about. Interesting that I was number 42 in late June and I still am.

Quoted from DJNOEL30:

How did you find out what number machine your getting?? Man I'm way out of the loop!

Sorry, it is not the number LE I get. I am 42 of his LE allotment.

I mentioned my number because I have never bought a game before it was out more than a year so never been in on an LE. Of the 2 NIBs I bought I received them a month or more earlier because people dropped out even when the game was known and liked after code updates.

Now that I am going to get an LE I have not moved up since early June even though all these people have dropped out. So either people sticking in quietly or ....

Put 57 games on my LE yesterday thanks to JJ Gexchange and his white glove delivery meant I didn’t have to wait til the weekend for friends to get into my basement.

First game I ever bought without playing for a year or so first. It is just wow and this really surprised me because I have been playing the pro on location and wasn’t sure I should go ahead with the purchase. Being able to hear the game and experience the hyperloop in person made a big difference to me.

Was able to get 2 balls into the hyperloop and its way cooler than the getaway. Also didn’t notice the sparse playfield at all because I couldn’t control the ball very well with the speed.

And for the home run my wife got the ball into the hyperloop and loved it. Game just payed itself off.

I am getting phantom 2 service warnings (right EOS and ball trough 5) that work fine in switch test so will have to figure that out. Playfield and cabinet look good so far. Code is .87 so will see what an update does.

Your mileage may vary.

Quoted from Hoser:

In general, does it draw your attention while you are playing? That ball is moving fast. Do you notice the rail across the playfield while playing? Or do you forget about it easily?

I never notice the rail at all. Nothing like the Cannon on ACDC as mentioned. I would argue there are many spotlights on games that do more to get in the way. Remember the Loki plastic thing on Avengers, much worse. The hammer never bothered me but many of my friends hated it.

Quoted from Chambahz:

I've been around long enough to have experienced "new game syndrome"

Game is fun from the start and I don't usually experience that. But now that I understand the mode stacking which I never got on GOT, I really like what they are doing.

Plus trying to move the multipliers and hitting the action button really adds a level of complexity/frustration if you want.

One thing I don't hear talked about is that the tie fighter reminds me of Sparky or the Mothership only harder to hit. Hit a target and a solenoid goes off. Why is it getting bashed so much.

Sparky = Opto or Standup. Mothership = Drop or Standup.
