Quoted from kermit24:

Seems the shot is a right flipper shot (not easily backhandable) on the Premium / LE. Is that right?

I think I made is once with the left but yes its right hand shot. To those that say you really have to hit it hard to make it: I observed that you need to make it a clean shot. I cannot touch the left side, it happened to me and I noticed that its touching the left wall just before the ramp.

Quoted from _xizor:

SWLE arrived today, no damage, no issues unpacking other than, as previously mentioned in pinside, the blue painters tape left the moulding sticky and it had to be cleaned. No ghosting out of box, cabinet in perfect shape.
Immediate impressions, artwork looks good; LE trim was different enough than the Pro I noticed it when I opened the box.
Installing shaker took all of 5 min, easy as expected, but annoying that I had to put it in myself on an LE. Same goes for the lack of Anti-glare glass out of the box, new cheaper back bolts and lock down latches, disappointing... the game doesn't feel cheap, but the changes left me feeling like these changes are cost savings and not an innovation enhancing my experience.
Booted up, played a few games, confirmed the feedback others have provided such as fast game, interesting shots, software is in okay shape.
Looking forward to playing more, but a few hours in, I do question the cost of the LE compared to other models. Value in the actual game just isn't compatible to other titles. Are we paying a premium for licecning and limited run of said licensing? Yes...
Granted the Canadian Export LE features region specific coin mechs which makes the whole game faster, better, stronger and full of more additional vowels in the on-screen menu, so I'm happy I get that little collectable bump over all the southerners who got their LEs quicker than I did.
Will the code updates take this pin needs to be? Hopefully.
Am I looking forward to spending the extra cash for a topper / etc? Not really. Will I? We'll see.

Thought I would chime in here. My business partner and I were playing SWLE today and were discussing what the licensing costs from disney were, him being a star wars fanatic, indicated that they most like would not do a deal like this for under 5 million. Typically they do licensing deals for products that sell hundreds of thousands of units, which justifys the return of cost per unit. So if you think that they will produce maybe 10k machines that $500 per machine, 500 machine thats $1000 per machine. Anyone know what it cost them to licence this and use so much content? Thats maybe why this particular was "stripped down"

Eh that's all fluff really. IMO who really cares about 800? It's not like they make 20,000 of these things anymore. And the signed stuff is silly things I'd lose anyways, honestly don't know if I have any of the certificates for my LE's and I don't care. Star Trek LE was the pinnacle of their LE's......All the extras on the cabinet are what make that on sing.... I think people who buy the LE's thinking they are some sort of financial investment with future gains are just fooling themselves. I'd fully expect any used pinball machine to lose value. Yeah there are some exceptions, but they are the rarity and it is only really ever worth what someone actually buys it for, not these theoretical values.

Yeah but its star wars one of the most valuable franchises out there and the collectable market runs strong in this one!

Yet he used the exact same gimmick what, over twenty years ago? On a slightly smaller scale with less lights and explosions
Does look like fun though...

You talking about Getaway? Not the same. (I have both) Similar as it uses an electromagnet setup and a loop. Now the loop is in your vision right in front of your flippers buzzing around with lights to distract you from subsequent shots during multiballs with the loop. There is nothing to the getaway loop. maybe later once you master the game there will be nothing to the hyperloop, maybe you are a pinball god and this stuff bores you, or maybe you are an ale drinker . I drink lager when I play!

Chambahz failed to include the sheer speed at which the balls run on this playfield as a contributing factor to the excitement. I just dont have time to look at the pretty screen.

The more I play it the more I like it. Just wish I could get the rule set

I am so glad I stayed on this game, it really is awesome. I'm not a very good player and have not made it past 400 Million but man am I having fun with it. The only disappointment I have is the lack of topper for the game on release. I'm really interested to see what that R2D2 topper will look like. Are toppers fairly easy to install when it comes to the NIB stern products?

Mee too I noticed in the .89 release note Stern referenced a topper, wow so secretive! Anyone know anymore about the topper?

Well crap. The reason I was never able to get the Hyperloop going is it doesn't work. (Shipped this way)
Check Switch#6 Flipper End of Stroke
Check Switch #56 Fork Ramp Mid
Check Switch #57 Fork Ramp up
UGH - Hopefully I get taken care of quick. Really Disappointed

hmms thats interesting I too have the

Check Switch#6 Flipper End of Stroke

Quoted from Talon2000:

Yes you aren't the only ones. All the ones I know about have this issue. Software bug most likely.

Hold on hold on. Is everyone missing the big freaking picture? 800 machines and not one QC tech caught this error? Even if its software do they not actually run these machines in QC? I guess not!

No you aren't. The game is empty. Stern cheaped-out and dropped the ball on this one.
I know, because I read it on Pinside.

Ahhhhh I get it, jedi mind trick!
