Just wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this problem.
I had a GI short, where 90% of the GI was off. We had to go bulb by bulb to find the problem. Narrowed it down to the White GI, so when checking socket by socket a hunk of solder fell out of one of the sockets. Problem solved! But OMG what a pain! During the search, noticed and removed a lot of tiny solder scraps all over the underside of playfield. SLOPPY!!! Something to look out for if anyone else has a similar problem.
It's a good thing I love this machine, because (whew) it's had some issues! Crossing my fingers I'm through the woods now. Big thanks to Dangerwil (I think he's still on pinside?) for his help, as he's the one who discovered the short.
