A pinball machine can be great fun, but just because a pinball is fun does not mean that it has made good use of the theme. For those not concerned about theme, try then buy. For those who value good theme integration, Star Wars may not be a good machine even if it is a boatload of fun.

Take X-men LE for example - the magnetic ball spinner is as close to Magneto in pinball form as I can imagine and it is difficult to imagine how this toy could be made relevant to another theme. That to me is representative of a pinball machine designed around the theme.

Stern Star Wars looks more like a great pinball machine to which someone slapped on some Star Wars artwork. With some artwork and callout replacement, it looks like it could be a great Fast and Furious pinball machine. In fact, the playfield design looks like a better Fast and Furious pinball machine than a Star Wars pinball machine. I would buy that!

I enjoy Steve Ritchie games, have owned many, and I am in the small crowd of people who like No Fear, but this seems like the wrong style for a Star Wars theme. That said, not everyone cares about theme integration

tl;dr
Theme integration for Star Wars is meh, won't buy.

Quoted from TheLaw:

because Star Wars is known for having a shit of toys/figures we all grew up with, that this game should be strewn with cheap shit everywhere.

Quoted from Eskaybee:

Steve Ritchie designs pinballs to play, not toys to look at. Just saying...

Yes, I agree. I don't want action figures glued all over the playfield. I want interactive toys, like the castle bridge and door in Medieval Madness, the flying monkey in Wizard of Oz, or even the Vengeance in Stern Star Trek.
