All this negativity... If the op wants to do this... it's his right.
I agree it seems like a lost cause; but maybe he has some redeeming ideas to make this fun.

I agree it seems like a lost cause; but maybe he has some redeeming ideas to make this fun.
My biggest concern would be that transformer... if it got hot enough to melt the varnish in the windings; it's going to be nearly impossible to source a used one.
That said; looks like the harness is in fair shape - but the cannon mechs look ok
